The modern era statist left harbors the fantasy of a "One World Without Borders"(OWWB). There was a time in human history when humanity did not have borders, but the problem with OWWB was endless conflicts between folks that formed groups, gangs etc. in an attempt to exert power & control over other folks of a different mind set/ideology. The Sumerians came up with the idea of forming various "city states" each with their own governments. Unfortunately power & control struggles arose between the city states eventually leading up to the Akkadian empire.

The Akkadian empire was the first of it's kind as it housed multiple cities under one government so was known back then as a "Territorial empire", a forerunner of the INDIVIDUAL STATES OF AMERICA. Where America was formed out of multiple BORDERED STATES, under & guided by a mutual "pact" called the U.S. CONSTITUTION & BILL OF RIGHTS, the Akkadian empire was technically borderless but the Akkadian Territory also had a pact of mutual defense for the cities/populations within the stated Akkadian territory. The various cities of course would attract other folks of a similar "mind set" so to keep conflict to a minimum.

Fast forward to the current statist left residing in America & we can easily identify the turd floating in the punch bowl. The statist left are pushing for a return to PRE-SUMERIAN existence when violence, aggression were the order of the day. The statist left are of the same mind set(god complex) of the savages of old that literally made the Sumerians create nation cities in a bid for their very physical survival.
