Trump kept telling Clinton she had 30 years to change things.

apparently Trump doesn't have a clue when it boils down to passing laws.

so explain how one person can pass a law, and change a law that the Government already has in place.

anybody ?

Ask obuthole.

2016 - 30 = 1986

in 86 Clinton was on the board at Walmart.

maybe she could have changed the price on Trumps bad wig, but nothing else ....

Tax law has to originate in the House, his asking her why she did nothing to change the tax code is a remark that proves he does not know how the government is supposed to work.

and individual can write a bill, and submit it.

Someone pointed out earlier even a civilian can do that.

So even after she left Obamas Administration, she could submitted a bill to her 'friends' in Congress.

But, has she?

For instance, if the CEOs of The Fortune 500 contribute to every member of Congress a law can be passed within a few months.
How do you think 25,000 factories left the US in under 8 years?

Laws begin as ideas. First, a representative sponsors a bill. The bill is then assigned to a committee for study. If released by the committee, the bill is put on a calendar to be voted on, debated or amended. If the bill passes by simple majority (218 of 435), the bill moves to the Senate. In the Senate, the bill is assigned to another committee and, if released, debated and voted on. Again, a simple majority (51 of 100) passes the bill. Finally, a conference committee made of House and Senate members works out any differences between the House and Senate versions of the bill. The resulting bill returns to the House and Senate for final approval. The Government Printing Office prints the revised bill in a process called enrolling. The President has 10 days to sign or veto the enrolled bill.

study up ...

you too, Donnie.

In today's political climate Democratic bills rarely ever get through committee no matter what they are. Even sitting senators of the controlling party do not write bills for the house which has sole responsibility for raising revenue. Anyone who actually knows how the congress is and how it is supposed to work were left shaking their heads at his buffoonery.

and the Trumpbots were drooling on their shoes .....

All she got passed was a policy that her husband thinks is a disaster... Obamacare. In the meantime, when not getting anything done, she managed to cause a barrage of scandals.

Trump will achieve more in 4 years than she did in 30, for certain.

No not individually, but she could have still made an impact or influenced other members.....yes? Or what about proposing new laws or changes to the existing laws? Or how they vote on the laws? What kind of things did she work for or against?

and anyone can submit an idea for a bill to any representative, including a First Lady, a senator, or someone not in office.

Correct?

If I remember correctly, the leader of the VFW, (might be one of the other veterans groups), sent an idea to his congressman regarding veterans education benefits.

It was made into a bill nearly word for word, and passed with no nays, in either house

Yeah for a bunch of people who claim to treasure the constitution they are terribly ignorant of how it delineates powers among the branches of government. They will in the same breath despair of Obama "trampling the constitution" and proclaim Trump would do things that he would have to be an emperor to accomplish.

Give it up, Trump asked Hillary a stupid question and no amount of hair splitting can make it good. Yes a past senator could write and submit a bill to the house but why if it is going to just be thrown in the trash without ever even getting a committee hearing?

Even Hillary understands that's not an excuse to try. That's why there was no legitimate response.

Trump's point is that for more than two decades, Hillary has been involved in the Federal Government, in one way or another. Yet, despite being First Lady, a US Senator fro. A major state and Secretary of State, she has not been able to make the vast majority of her campaign talking points come to fruition.

No, she couldn't have done these things on her own, but the fact that she has been unable to find or create enough support for these ideas in Washington does beg the question about how good these ideas were/are.

It would give credence to a plank in her platform that she really does plan to lower taxes.

for now, just another wet dream that will dry up as soon as she's elected.
