Hi everyone!
I'm not sure how much information I'm supposed to give out here, so I'll just try to touch on the basics.
I'm from Massachusetts, but my fiance and I are saving to make the move to northern Vermont. If I had to describe my views, I'd say I'm probably a democratic socialist (and sick of explaining what that is all the time, haha). I'm a registered Green and traditionally vote Green, independent, and Democratic (in that order). I'm also an atheist and a naturalistic pantheist. I'm pro-choice, pro-LGBT rights, anti-war and an environmentalist. I identify as a biromantic, demisexual, cis gendered female.
I can't stand when people resort to name-calling, generalizations and untruths to make a point. In my opinion, if you're right, the facts can do all the arguing for you. If you feel the need to start saying things like "typical liberal..." or "republiscums", you need to take a breather and come back when you can handle an adult debate. For that reason, I've been known to post a few months on and then duck out for a few weeks or months until I can deal with the ugliness on the boards without flipping out. I try to be kind and understanding in all my interactions and I believe everyone deserves common courtesy until they've shown they are undeserving of it.
That's about it, I look forward to getting to know everyone and I'm always open to talking about anything if anyone ever needs someone to listen.
