I remember growing up in Texas and LBJ had a rep there for having had a couple of political rivals killed just before they could beat him in an election. The corpse of one was found in a swamp.

23 people. In a room of just 23 people there’s a 50-50 chance of two people having the same birthday. In a room of 75 there’s a 99.9% chance of two people matching.

Given the large number of ways to die, given a large group of people, having one die per week isn't a mystery. If they all died of the same thing, that would be odd.

For the math-impaired, that death rate = 2.33/week

How many Democrats are there? How many Republicans? How many Liberals working on liberal causes? How many Conservatives working on conservative causes? I'm guessing it's over 50,000 each which would give a death rate......wait for it......of 1+ per week.

The audibly and understandably shaken employee stated that interest in the circumstances of Lucas' death had prompted a number of phone calls and other queries, but the company had not yet ascertained any details about Lucas' cause of death and were unable to confirm anything more than the fact he had passed away.
