Another food comparison, cheddar cheese brick in Canada, almost $30 (it will be over 30 after taxes).

Yes, the problem is that Canada has been violating free markets and the Americans know it now.

I cannot speak beyond this, as much as some of your boot lickers here take the side of dishonest Canadian police; we are interfering in corporations, tampering with HR and careers, among other insidious activities for which I cannot share publicly but for which your agencies know. This is done especially in American corporations, though not exclusively...
Good lord dude....

DO you ever listen to yourself?

America has the largest economy in the world. And we’re soon to have the 2nd largest--China is going to overtake us. We’ve known that for years.

And, yet, people such as yourself think that the rest of the wold has been taking advantage of us? Its rubbish... Its almost as dumb an argument as the myth of widespread voter fraud by the Democrats. Somehow they do all of this cheating but don’t hold the majority in either house of Congress or the Presidency?

It should surprise nobody that the same crazy arguments come out of your mouth.

You know nothing or you know too much.

Your opinion is duly noted even if excessively incorrect.

Clearly you’re not in the camp of knowing too much.

Okay explain how the US has been taken advantage of while having the largest economy the world has ever seen, the highest standard of living, citizenry with the highest disposalbe income (on average), strongest military, greatest number of Nobel prize winners (i think I read that somewhere), leadership positions in higher education across the world....

If we are being taken advantage of....every nation should be so lucky...wouldn’t you agree?

But please...explain how in the world we’re being duped....good luck.

Well stop buying fancy ass cheese if you can’t afford it

I’m sure a generic brand brick of cheese from a supermarket in Canada is no where near that much

You’re just cherry picking some random expensive cheese to fuel your weird obsession

LOL. This is NOT fancy cheese. This is standard, run of the mill Canadian cheese. It is like you buying Captain Crunch cereal.

You are comparing an imported gloucester cheese to mass produced cheddar produced domestically.
Hopefully that light bulb will at least flicker now.
The average price for a brick of cheddar in canada is not $30 Canadian and you know it.

That’s obviously some fancy cheese snobby people buy

Canadian housewives are not buying $30 bricks of cheese to make their kids a sandwich

Its not though. Its an every day type cheese.

If you don’t like the price, don’t buy it.
Yep, that is not the point though. We block competition through the dairy racket here.

This is small stuff. Do you know how much insurance costs here, all types? How about banking fees and lack of competition? We just had a $10k fine against Loblaws for selling a product as "Made in Canada" when it was food imported from some shytehole. This, after multiple times grocery stores have engaged in price fixing of bread and other products.

Americans are naive. You have been licking the boots of so many dishonest cops here for so long that you have bought it all hook, line and sinker.

400 grams...that is a third the size of the brick in this photo. I dont even look for these photos I trip upon them.

So at the high end that is $27 based on Google.

You have no idea how broke Canadians are. An America recently came here to live off of their savings and has recently started a gofundme because they are shocked at how expensive rent and food costs.

Just because it’s cheddar doesn’t mean it’s not some expensive marked up name brand cheese

We all know Canadian housewives are NOT paying $30 a pop for a generic brick of cheddar

We all know that in any regular supermarket in Canada (unless it’s like remote Northern Territory) ALSO has a shelf with some Kroger brand cheese at normal prices.

Why are we going through this little charade?

Are you really saying you believe that’s the average price of a brick of cheese in a working class suowrmarket in Winnipeg?

Geez, that's nuts. I'm right across your southern border in Wisconsin, the largest manufacturer of cheese in the US. I can get a 2 pound block of mediocre Walmart sharp cheddar for $6.96.

Maybe we should set up a side business smuggling cheese into Canada. :laughing0301:

Ok, well, stop buying gigantic-ass bulk food bricks of cheese if you don’t want to pay $28

According to google a similar sized brick of cheddar costs about $25 in my area, and I live in a moderate cost of living small Midwest city in the USA

Are you buying massive bricks of cheese to cook for a large group or something?

Its not an expensive cheese. Its considered an everyday type cheese. It isnt generic, but it isnt luxurious either.
What you posted is expensive. And its only around a dollar cheaper per pound than the brand in the OP.
I did a bunch of googling because I didnt believe it either.
