Red State! Amen.
1. If we look up the definition of “person” we see things like “a human being regarded as being an individual.” And since we aren’t talking about corpses, I say we must add “living” to “human being.”

2. We know when a male’s spermatazum succeeds in entering a female’s ovum, that new being has its own unique identity. And we also know what kind of being it is: a human being. Huh. A unique human being

3. It is accepted by a large percentage of doctors that “life” begins at the moment of conception.

Therefore, if we agree to use actual definitions, we would be forced to agree that, absent lawful duty (like an “executioner”), absent being engaged in a war and absent self-defense for life threatening crimes, the taking of a human life is a homicide.

I regularly see “liberals” argue for abortion “rights” by arguing that the blastula or zygote is merely a “cluster of cells” but not “life” yet because — stage of development. Yet, even some strident abortion rights advocates concede that life begins at conception. They argue against any abortion laws which “limit access to abortion” on when. When does a “life” become an”person?”

Well, given those first three numbered paragraphs, it should be considered a “person” also at conception.

It all comes down to personhood.

Who told you a zygote wasn't life? Of course it is, just like hair and fingernails. None of those can be called an independent human person.

Were you ever in the zygote stage of your own life, growth, and development?

Be honest.

You only read or understood part of the post.

It is a living human being. And a human being is a person.

But there has never been a fingernail that became a Union Pipefitter

What a stupid question.
I was in the zygote stage of my life, not long after I was conceived.

Why do you think that is a "stupid" observation?

Think about why you have to call the question "stupid" rather than acknowledging the point being made.

It's a biological fact that you were conceived, and you (the human organism that you are) are the same human organism NOW that you were when you were only in the zygote stage of YOUR life, growth, and development.

I have a bit of trouble seeing this blastula as an "individual" or "person".
iu

OTOH, this is clearly much more than a mass of cells.

I can only conclude that at some point, the clump of cells because an individual person. Personhood attached to the living being. Where that point is, I can't say with any certainty.

As for aborting the blastula, I don't see how that could be called murder. It's a clump of cells. But killing that 7 month fetus is too close to murder to be acceptable to me.

Others will of course see it differently. That's fine. Everyone can decide where the line should be drawn and then collectively we'll get the legislature to pass a law.

I don’t think what anyone of us “sees” defines when life begins.

That moment when you look at it with more than only your eyes and realize they are both the same human organism.

Just in different points in their life, growth, etc.

As a father, I'm defensive of my children. No matter where they are. no matter their age, their size, their (especially temporary) level of development, etc. . .

That is an example of looking at it with more than only your eyes.
