Those Democrats won't be happy until all black people are out of work and on welfare. You can bet that the owner of the Pearl Milling Company is probably an old white man.

"Aunt Jemima is making her last batch of pancakes.

Quaker Oats said Tuesday that its Aunt Jemima brand pancake mix and syrup will be renamed Pearl Milling Company. Aunt Jemima products will continue to be sold until June, when the packaging will officially change over.

Quaker Oats, a division of PepsiCo Inc., had announced last June that it would retire the Aunt Jemima brand, saying the character’s origins are “based on a racial stereotype.” The smiling Aunt Jemima logo was inspired by the 19th century “mammy” minstrel character, a Black woman content to serve her white masters. A former slave, Nancy Green, became the first face of the pancake products in 1890."

That stuff is fucking gross, regardless of what's on the label.

It is. Probably sugar, water, maple flavoring, and some kind of thickener. I"m lucky to live in an area where every goober and his brother makes maple syrup for a sideline.

I wonder how much the glass older aunt jemima bottles will be going for as they will soon be considered racist contraband.

Investment advice:

If you can get an unopened case of any Aunt Jemima products - any variety - and have a place to safely store it BUY, BUY, BUY.

Within a year the price will rise more rapidly than the price of gold or silver.

Leave to your grand children and each case will be worth several thousand dollars.

Probably best option is sealed case lots of the syrup as it will keep indefinitely. Any of the powder-type products may spoil over time though with today's use of preservatives products of that sort (from any major maker) might have shelf lives surpassing those of 2-3 human generations.

Single packages will appreciate but not as quickly or much as sealed cases.

I wish I had bought a full case of "Spotted Owl Helper" rather than the half-dozen individual boxes. I have only two left and recently was offered $500 for one of them but turned it down.

Oh the newly branded products? Look for them to be withdrawn within 18 months at which time there'll be a spike in the price of your stash. Maybe give in to temptation and part with some but NOT all - the appreciation best over the long haul.

If you're too "black" you're an "Aunt Jemima" and get cancelled from the label of a food product.

If you're too "white" you're an "Uncle Tom" and condemned.
