They're supposed to begin drywalling this morning. I went to Home Depot Thursday night and spent about 2 hours there, figuring what to get.

After much thought I've decided to stay with carpeting. I like the look of wood, but it's too noisy. Several of my friends have gone with oak floors, they still like how it looks, but agree with the noise part, even with large area rugs. Heck, if you're going to cover up to such a degree, might as well just go with carpet.

Right now AllState has us in the hotel until the 22nd. If they get the walls up maybe we can get back in?

I have solid Oak floors and they are only noisy if you are going to tap dance on them, you shouldn't be clonking around on them is stilletto heels either or they will mark the wood.Have you had a flood or something Annie?
