Obama lost the governnorships, the House, the legislatures that will determine districts, and three gay marriage judges.

Plus those left in the Senate like Sherrod Brown have to know, they are just two years from losing thier job, if they continue to ride with Obama (considering Brown is the only Democrat left in Ohio office at the moment, the rest have lost their jobs, including Big Ted Strickland!)

We have not seen yet whether the GOP and the TP can work together, compromise where necessary, force out the corporatists (the TP is populist), and come up with a comprehensive, reasonable platform for the the next decade.
