Especially if those eating the animals are Haitians in Ohio.

It's not about giving human rights to animals. I might be in the minority here with this view, but animals already have rights that are innate. God-given.

The bible makes it clear that animal cruelty is wicked (Proverbs 12:10) and there are actually a number of other scriptures that show that animals have rights. For example, there are scriptures (commands) that say animals are to be given rest too, you're not supposed to overwork them, or neglect them, or be cruel to them.

There's a lot wrong with that article. Whether it was intentional or not, whoever wrote it deceptively used extreme examples to try to prove his point, when actual arguments can be made in favor of animals, without needing to quote some misanthropic secular extreme animal rights activist. So whoever wrote is either being purposely deceptive, or he just sincerely lacks understanding on the topic, and has a lot to learn, iyam.

I agree with everything that means that animal cruelty is wicked, that you should not overwork them and all that, but i disagree that the case is misrepresented and doesnt exist like that. There is such a ideology trending. Why many become vegan?

I can't speak for anyone else... But I became vegan because once I saw how utterly diabolical the animal industries are, I could no longer in good conscience participate in it by paying others to abuse, torture and needlessly kill animals who are no different than a dog or cat, in sentience and love.

I even created a whole ministry about 8 years ago.. I have a website, youtube channel, etc. If you want to check it out, here's the link. :)
