I have issues with police abusing their authority, and the fact that in NYC they get their 2nd amendment rights and I don't, but that doesn't mean we have to attack the entire institution.

This creep had 20 civilian complaints against him, including one incident where he dislocated a suspect's shoulder (the City paid out $500,000 in damages), 10 complaints of excessive force, 1 complaint of hurling a racial epitath at a suspect, and he was involved in falsifying documents related to a 2005 police shooting.

Amazingly, this guy still had a job. More amazingly, it took the Chicago PD another year to fire him, and only then because they finally got the videotape released.

But Heather the Hack says that there's a War on Police because people are saying this isn't cool.

So once again, because Mac can't argue the point, we will get to hear about how I'm a mean old partisan who just doesn't want to have a conversation.

I really don't know why leftists think this is going to have anything but negative effects for them in the long-term. Anyone who's been married for a while can tell you that the longer someone shouts and harangues you, the more indifferent and even hostile you get toward it, and the faster the law of diminishing returns kicks in. Alaskan's would approve paying for it to protect our officers integrity. Sadly time caught up to us and we've hit a $3.5 billion dollar budget deficit due to the oil prices tanking. We've pared that bill down to like $1B last I heard, but I'm not sure we'll be getting anymore cameras installed until oil prices/the budget gets sorted out.
