Texas private school voucher program does not prohibit gender-segregated education. The Texas Education Freedom Accounts program allows families to use public funds for tuition at accredited private schools that are operational for at least two years.

School Selection: Families must independently choose a participating private school that accepts voucher students.
Accreditation Requirements: Schools must be accredited by an organization recognized by the Texas Private School Accreditation Commission or the Texas Education Agency.

Curriculum Autonomy: The law does not mandate co-educational environments; therefore, private schools that operate as single-sex institutions (separating boys and girls) are eligible to participate and accept voucher funds, provided they meet the state’s accreditation and operational standards.
