I've lobbied Capitol Hill on several occasions in recent years. I also noticed that, without fail, the offices of our Black leadership contain prominently-displayed (and rather large) photographs of ol' Louie. He's an icon and an inspiration and a symbol of cause... for a good reason.
Be afraid... be very afraid.
Thats a lie.
And how many times have you visited Congressional offices in D.C.? Obviously more times than I.
Liar...give some names. Liar
Jesse Jackson, Jr. was one. Mind you, this was several years ago (he's currently in a half-way house and soon to be released to house arrest). Louis Farrakhan poster... check.
I found the Honorable Mr. Jackson to be a bit smug and haughty, but I quickly put him in his place and so my lobbying team took the high ground for the ensuing 40 minute meeting. I was impressed with him. He asked tough pertinent questions, he was engaged, and he asked us to stay in touch with his office . It was one of the better meetings of our 2-1/2 day endeavor.
