Sounds like the restaurant wants two nights a week, for their rich, ELDERLY patrons, to be able to leave the home they've been held captive in, for a safer night out?
Most rich ELDERLY people eat at home and are served by their personal chefs.
I can see that....but maybe they just occasionally want a night out, on the town? It's the only thing I could think of, for him doing this two nights a week, and at $50 bucks a test!!! Sheesh!!!
If I were old, and rich, there is no way on Gods green earth I would go out to dinner in NYC in this day and age. Why would I when I have enough $ to have a personal chef, a driver for my limo to "get out of the house", etc.
He's doing it because he is a sheep, and he is paid to test just how far other sheep will go.
Or...he's stupid.
I dunno about that...when talking about New York Restaurants in Manhattan.... some of the finest eating in the World!!! Imo! I was fortunate enough to eat out when there for Market, and to this day my mouth still waters for their 3-4 inch thick at minimum, Veal Chop and various delicious pasta dishes as sides.... something I could not afford personally, but my Company, or a Vendor I bought from, paid the way.... So I got a taste of the good life....!
New Yorkers, the Rich and elderly, do not live in New York City, to stay home with their chef... imo....
NY is AWESOME!~ it's not for the crotchety & anti-social, though.
It is totally awesome! I 've done the buggy ride through central park, Broadway shows, Knicks game at Madison square garden, the lighting of the Christmas tree several times, Rockefeller center, Times square, st Patrick's cathedral, Trump Tower, empire state building, planet Hollywood, twin towers before they fell, museums, on and on and on.... It's absolutely endless what you can do! Most all on someone else's business dime, which was great!

Matt joined me two or three times and we usually stayed a couple of days after Market ended....it was fun!!! I LOVE NEW YORK!
If I were a billionaire, one of my homes, would definitely be there! I wouldn't give up a home in Maine either! And Maine is the complete opposite, of new York!
