NASA is a relic of The Space Race. The military controls their own launches and satellites out of Vandenberg. JPL is doing all robotic space exploration and could easily be a stand-along agency. We currently have no manned space program. No American has left Low Earth Orbit in nearly 50 years and there are no vehicles to do so.

Commercial space companies should be replacing NASA's already minuscule role in America's Space Program.
