It looks as if Russia and Israel, the powers on the ground, are working their way to that. The Kurds have a huge chunk of Syria. They could grab a lot of Iraq. Then there is fear in Turkey, where most of the Kurds live, and the largest piece of Kurdish territory,

Turkey has kicked away good relations with Israel, has, as always poisonous relations with Russia.

Syria and Iraq have always been nasty to Israel. And equally nasty to the Kurdish minority. If Kurdistan rebuilds, will it be part of the anti Israel block, or will it form up against the the anti kurds?

The Kurds are in bed with the Israeli's.

Eventually, they will get screwed by the zionists and lose everything.

Trusting a zionist jew is like trusting the devil. .....

And apart from mass murder, rape and violence what have they ever received from the muslims.

You can trust a devil you cant trust a muslim

very possible scenario. Turkey could be divided, 'cause nobody needs them.

I think it won’t happen in the near future. No one regional power wants this scenario. The odds are that the Syrian Kurdistan will receive wide autonomy within Syria, but not independence.

The Kurd's might eventually break away from Iraq and form their own independent state.

Also, if Assad is defeated, the Syrian Kurds would take a chunk of Syrian land and join the new Kurdistan state.

But neither Turkey or Iran, which have significant Kurdish populations, will allow their Kurds to break away land and join the new Kurdish state without out an all out war. ......

Turkey has the most to fear from an independent Kurdistan. They have been the worst to their minorities. Iran has nothing to fear. They are relatively decent to ethnic minorities

The Syrian Arab Army won't be defeated, quite the opposite.
