The theory is sound but it becomes interesting when it's applied to young children being indoctrinated into Christian superstitious beliefs. Christian beliefs will be with most of those children for the rest of their lives.

This is the only possible reason why an intelligent person (a nuclear physicist) will be torn between his science and his religious indoctrination forever.

He may even adopt the 6000 year old earth theory, alongside and at the same time, as he fully understands the real age of the earth!
