This site tracks every criminal in the 50 states held to be executed. It reports prior and after executions. One is going to happen on the 11th of March in Texas followed by 3 more in two states, Alabama then Florida.
Question for the forum.
Would you put death any convicts guilty of murder using the following system?

No more than 1 year from capture to a Jury Trial.
When the Jury decides on guilt, no longer than 1 year to appeal all issues.

Make use of our hot volcanic springs to put them to execute them?

As you decide, please remember the victims who either died due to gun shots or other horrible means.

I think a lot of you people who love executions are sadistic, to be honest. Forgetting the Constitutional ban on Cruel and Unusual punishment.

The Death Penalty is one of those issues I've gone back and forth on over the years. Part of me knows that intellectually, murdering people to prove murder is bad is illogical. Another part of me sees these animals and wants to punish them with something more than three hots and a cot for the rest of their lives.

But the tie breaker for me is that since we resumed executions in 1976, 202 people convicted and sent to death row were eventually exonerated (thankfully before they were executed.) Compared to 1659 who have been executed. So for every eight people we execute, we let one go.

Then there are the ones where we suspect they might have been executed wrongly now. Possibly 21 cases.

Texas is currently trying to execute a man who is believed to have been innocent right now.

I'm liking the hot springs concept but I'm kind of a fan of public hangings. People can eat picnic lunches and cheer as the Convicted Creep drops and jerks. Everybody's happy: vendors can sell beers and sandwiches, the public no longer has to support said Convicted Creep and the world has one fewer emissary of Satan on board.

The days of my thinking you are a nut are definitely coming to a middle.

If that inmate is scheduled to die on the 11th, I see a case where he should not be on the gurney but serving a fairly short sentence since he was not present when the murders happened.
As to blood thirsty, I remind you of the killer of Ashli Babbitt, who was not violent, caused no harm and supported the cops in the hall in fact. They did not kill her, the black cop stalking her killed her. And not even giving her a trial.

So please no lectures over this topic.

I couldn't care less what you think.
I will not longer engage with a Jew-hating, communist turd.

Torture doesn't make right. It perpetuates. I am all for bullets to the back of the head. I'll do it. Let me sign a waiver. Ill make it quick and clean.

I think we should treat convicted criminals the same way we do unwanted children in the womb.

Put them in a nice small dark warm room with only a small opening. Provide them with food and water to keep them alive until their scheduled day. Then, when they are least expecting it, reach in and grab them by a leg or an arm and pull them to the opening. If an arm or leg gets torn off? Grab another.

Turn them face down and pull their lower body through the opening, all the way up to the base of their neck.

Then, bore a hold in the base of their skull and suck out their brain material, before finally removing their collapsed head.

If this is acceptable to do to an innocent child, the leftardz should have no problem doing the same to a convicted murderer.

You paraded the notion of convicts being innocent, yet you want Chauvin in prison.

fetuses still aren't children.

Try to stay on topic.

I welcome all ideas since my actual motive is to explore ways to stop men from killing others. Your system accomplishes that.

I see what you did there.

Yes, because he's guilty, and the crime he committed was an egregious breach of public trust.

He made life harder for the 99% of cops who aren't murdering psychopaths.

Uh, guy, if you bothered to read the article, you'd see there was no murder. There was a child who died, and he was accused of "Shaken Baby Syndrome", which medical experts not admit, probably isn't a thing. The child had a number of medical issues and that's what killed her.

As to blood thirsty, I remind you of the killer of Ashli Babbitt, who was not violent, caused no harm and supported the cops in the hall in fact. They did not kill her, the black cop stalking her killed her. And not even giving her a trial.

Um, she was part of an angry mob that was trying to murder members of Congress.

Actually, the Death Penalty has no deterrent effect on murder.

In fact, states which have outlawed the Death Penalty have lower murder rates than ones that practice it.

FURTHERMORE, every other Western nation has banned the DP. They all have lower murder rates than we do.

Can anyone point to a case where an executed (aborted) murderer has ever murdered again?

Seems like a fairly good deterrent to me.

We let officer Byrd go. And clearly, he murdered Ashli Babbitt. He stalked her like she was an animal.

I notice Joe you do not hold back. When do you intend to start proving your own claims?

No deterrent you say. I agree. We are far too kind to be convicted murders as you are to officer Byrd and of course, they are let go.

I just watched Nuremberg (fat Russel Crowe version) and the time from conviction to execution was 15 days.

If we could execute some the worst the Nazis had to offer in that short of a time I see no reason why it should be dragged-out here.

The time from conviction to execution at Nuremberg was shortly after the conclusion of the Nuremberg trials on October 1, 1946. The executions took place on October 16, 1946, when ten prominent Nazi leaders were hanged for their crimes against humanity and war crimes.

Very good movie BTW.

How many executed convicts came back to murder others?

You could say the same about anyone serving life in prison, who for the most part never murder again.

And given we've executed at least 21 people who never murdered anyone, it doesn't seem like a deterrent at all.

Here's the thing. The guy who the cops have dead to rights (pardon the pun) usually cops a plea to life or less. The poor fool who ends up on Death Row is the one who thinks he can beat the charges because the evidence is weak.
