For all the rantinmg about the success of America's actions in Iraq the reality is quite different. Millions dead, a broken country, millions of mines and ordance all over the place, mass pollution, depleted uranuim everywhere, a pupet Government in place and the country robbed by the so called victors.
It all sounds so reminicent of Vietnam, agent orange, millions dead, still uxb's and mines.
On top of all that is all the men and women who have died been wounded, maimed for life or mad from the effects of combat and a cocktail of drugs. All this and more just so the rich and powerful can get even richer and more powerful.
An illegal war, illegal occupation on a nation that posed not threat to the US or its people. The constant lies of Bush and co blaming Saddam for 9/11 the bogus excuse for mass murder and mass profit.
Just as Vietnam did nothing for the average American except the terrible human cost the same applies in Iraq. Whilst billions are being spent every month in Iraq for the elusive democracy Americans at home are loosing their jobs, their homes, their health and education standards. This war is not just a tragedy for the Iraqi people it is a tragedy for the American people who will in the end be paying for many decades to come.
