When you write “university” you don’t understand that the difference between a college and university is often in name only, with “university” often sitting on the mantle of the number of published professors.

The "university" I attended was divided up into several different "colleges" ... as an Atmospheric Science major, obviously, I attended classes in the "College of Sciences" with the University itself ...

I also attended some classes in the "College of Liberal Arts" for the ethnic and history studies required to get a degree from the university, they wanted their graduates to have a "universal education" ...

So what I mean by "Liberal Arts College" are those institutions who only have a college of liberal arts, or at best a college of arts and sciences ... typically privately owned and enjoying 1st Amendment protections ... tough nuggies if you don't like the speech ...

Sounds like you've never been to a decently large school ... there were over 300 students in my Physics 101 class ... how many in your 13th Century French Literature class? ...

That is a good plan. it gets assistance to everyone who needs it regardless of race, religion or national origin. it's also legal.

Here is a thought exercise for anyone willing to think about it: Name an institution that actually has a "mission" whose mission is better accomplished with a demographically "diverse" team, to the extent that it makes sense to promote diversity. And by that I mean diversity as contrasted with pure merit.

My only candidates would be the enlisted ranks of the armed forces, and an urban police department. The mission COULD be better achieved with a diverse workforce if not carried to extremes.

If a university's mission is to impart the greatest amount of knowledge to the greatest number of people, diversity is a net negative factor.

Any profit-making venture in the private sector would be foolish to implement DEI initiatives. Foundations? Not hardly.

At least that would be more fair and family finances do play a role in educational success. They won’t do that though because many while males would benefit and we can’t have that. Remember, it is all about racial diversity, nothing more, and there are many more poor white males than poor black males or females by raw numbers.

There are lots of arguments for why they need to let in more blacks in to medical schools. Who is going to work in black communities?

They can even give the people scholarships and they don't have to pay student loans back if they work in an inner city hospital for at least 10 years? Something like that?

Maybe they need to have a all black private college for doctors. No whites. LOL
