No, I can't. Explain what tariffs have to do with American Obesity? What?? You can't make the connection?
If the tariffs reduce our dependance on china, which is our #1 enemy in the world, then its worth the costAmericans are presently paying 90% of the tariffs put up by Trump. That is an additional $1,000 per year per household
New Fed report on Trump’s tariffs confirms what most economists warned about
This has been proved by a recent research by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. "Nearly 90% of the economic burden is borne by American businesses and consumers
Research from the nonpartisan Tax Foundation indicates that tariffs imposed by the Trump administration, including those on China, the EU, Mexico, and Canada, cost the average U.S. household approximately $1,000 in 2025. This amount is projected to rise to $1,300 per household in 2026 if existing tariffs remain in place, with the costs primarily passed on to American consumers and businesses rather than foreign exporters.
and Trump announced this week that more tariffs are coming
I did not say that at all!If you think businesses don't add the cost of corporate taxes to the price of their goods and services you are a idiot. Corporate taxes are a thinly veiled Federal sales tax that the consumer pays.
You can't ***** about tariffs and support corporate taxes without looking like a hypocritical idiot.
It is the nature of tariffs that they will be added to the actual price. So this cannot be a secret. What do you mean by "secret to be unveiled"? There is no secret here! Trump is doing this
Dependence on China is due to the reduced costs of products. Take that away, and everything becomes automatically more expensive, meaning that stuff Americans use and need every day would no longer be cost-effective and that means that many Americans would suffer the lack of that stuff. If the tariffs reduce our dependance on china, which is our #1 enemy in the world, then its worth the cost
That dagger aimed at our heart must be removed
And for the environment also.A decrease in consumer of cheap consumer items, I think would actually be a GOOD THING for Americans.
And for the environment also.
China just helps fill our landfills with cheap plastic crap.

Funny, I never saw you post concern about what the Biden policies were costing American households...Here's an article, by a lefty approved outlet in 2023....Americans are presently paying 90% of the tariffs put up by Trump. That is an additional $1,000 per year per household

You're just bitchin' because it's working. It was clear from the very first day that Trump has no grasp of either domestic or global macroeconomics. When he levied a tariff against an island inhabited primarily by PENGUINS, it was clear that this was going to be ugly.
Then he started adding tariffs when someone hurt his feelings, and the cat was out of the bag. The entire world learned what he is, and their eyes opened. Add to this his constant flip-flopping in foreign relations, replete with mockery, trolling, insulting, namecalling, threats and intimidation, and the world has had enough of us.
His enablers are responsible for this. From the craven sycophants nearest him, to congressional Republicans, to the aggressively ignorant useful idiot everyday Trumpsters in the street.
Those who want one world government. It's clear some "Americans" would rather have the rest of the world continue to gouge the USA/citizens with their tariffs on our exports to them, and not have a level playing field reciprocating tariffs on what the world wants the USA to be paying for their stuff.
Leads one to wonder who's side some of these so-called concerned "Americans" are on.![]()
^^^ This is a good argument for slave laborOf course, we can’t buy American anymore because we got so used to cheap imported goods that American made can’t compete, and it’s now more expensive to buy something made here, than it is to have it imported from another country.
Then, of course, it's all a LIE.
American consumers are paying an additional tax, the trump tariffs.
And apparently ThisIsMe believes this is somehow winning.
We have no proof that "your tax returned doubled."
And if this is true ^^^^^^ where is this money coming from?
Trump is just shifting money while claiming greatness, and you clowns swallow it up, when in FACT we aren't paying down the National Debt and Prices are up because of tariffs.
The National Debt is increasing at a unprecedented rate, AND you are paying more because of tariffs.
So much winning........ I think NOT.
That is all true but tell that to poor and middle-class families that are struggling to pay for things they need.Dependence on China is due to the reduced costs of products.
In some ways the wide open free market is a good thing
But not when privately owned American companies are competing head to head with the the chinese government
China takes over the market and we have no choice except to obey their dictates
Do you really need that machine? That is all true but tell that to poor and middle-class families that are struggling to pay for things they need.
I recently bought from TEMU, a machine for my feet (exercise, warm, and stimulate them) because of the painful Neuropathy pangs that my diabetes has brought about and it cost me $27.99. The same exact American-made machine goes for over $100. Why would I buy the expensive one if I get the same results with the cheap Chinese-made one?
You think I am going to pay more to American companies (and take it out of my pocket) just because they are American? No way!
Yes, I really need the machine.Do you really need that machine?
Or did you just convince yourself it was essential?
If it really helps that much you should be willing to pay a little more for the long-term health of our economy
And to avoid the deaths of young American men in a future war with china
All of those products used to be made in the USYes, I really need the machine.
If I started helping the U.S. economy, I would be hurting myself and given that MOST people are worried more about themselves, If I started helping the economy, I would be among the few that are doing it. Why would I want to be among the few? Accomplishing a goal but failing to make a meaningful dent is stupid.
By the way, which of these products do you use?
Smart phone
Computer
Shoes
Clothing
Coffee
Furniture
Lighting
because this is a fact:
Everyday items heavily reliant on imports for U.S. consumers include electronics (smartphones, computers), apparel and footwear, automobiles, and various food products like coffee, cocoa, and specialized produce. Over 90% of apparel and shoes are imported, while significant portions of home goods like furniture and lighting come from overseas.
If you are using any of these, you are not buying purely American
