I'm all for that.Fair enough.
I still want policy to make it easier.

Interesting points but as a society we need to back off from expecting young people to get married and have kids. It's not a duty nor should it be an expectation. And I don't think feminism has hurt a thing, that's just blatantly wrong. There are many women who do not want kids and that's ok. It's better than having them and not wanting them. Overall people are becoming more independent, a stronger people. To start. And that will prove the concept. So we can then double down on pushing for it.
I actually think not for much longer. THe ideas that led to this, ie feminsm and anti-male sexism, have been defeated in the contest of ideas. As we get over them and move on, their impact should DECREASE with time, and people can get back to healthier societies and culture.
That is a... blind answer. It ignores many of the factors of the issue.
1. The vast majority of men and women, WANT to find partners and have families. To the extent that this trend is a failure of people that WANT families to HAVE families, this is a massive harm to millions of individuals who will have less fullfilled lives and decreased happiness becuase of it.
2. A culture with decreasing numbers is a dying culture. NO way we are looking upward and onwards if our population is crashing.
3. We are in a world where poorer and less advanced cultures are still breeding pretty well. THis means that the world as a whole is moving away from us and towards a more regressive and shitty world. That is not good.
A reminder, AI and robots are making us all irrelevant in real time.Interesting points but as a society we need to back off from expecting young people to get married and have kids. It's not a duty nor should it be an expectation. And I don't think feminism has hurt a thing, that's just blatantly wrong. There are many women who do not want kids and that's ok. I'm not so sure most people today want marriage and a family. They see the value in waiting until they are financially stable and are set in a good career before getting married and I don't see a problem there. Marriage in one's 20s is a risky proposition today in america as at least half of all marriages end in divorce. To top that off today's youth aspire to nice things and having money to enjoy themselves.I disagree.
It clearly has. Families, men, women, all hurt by the dumb ideas of feminism.
"many" here is vague to the point of being misleading. The vast majority of women and men want to find partners and have children with them.
To teh extent that the falling rates of success is because of people failing to get what they want, it is a BAD THING for them and for society.
It is NOT ok.
Overall, this is a failure. People becoming less successfully at life. People having lives less fullfilling than they could have been.
That is teh reality of a declining population.
I am not interested in COPING with failure. I want SOLUTIONS.

There are no shit wages, just what the market will bear.Cool. Sounds like a win win for me. Only people to lose, are greedy employers who want to pay shit wages.
I thought you weren't married.Asian women make the best wives.
Marriage in one's 20s is the recipe for divorce. There's no reason to rush into it while one is 25. That's just way too young.Got it. Let's take a look at your thinking.
Except that that puts a pretty big gap between physically adult and financially adult. That means that you just sort of have a period of ******* around as normal.
oh, and you piss away the period of peak fertility for the vast majority of women.
That's a combo of poor policy and bad culture. That can be fixed.
That's coping. I'm not interested in coping. I want solutions.
You, for some reason, don't seem to want people today to want marriage and a family. Your constant nihilistic bitching has become tiresome.I'm not so sure most people today want marriage and a family. ....
I'm not but my brother married an Asian woman.I thought you weren't married.
No, that's what children want. Even fully grown children. Even senior citizen children like you.... To top that off today's youth aspire to nice things and having money to enjoy themselves.
Why don't you just get this printed on a t-shirt and stop ******* repeating yourself endlessly here.Interesting points but as a society we need to back off from expecting young people to get married and have kids. This may be off topic, but I have a problem with your statement. Since I became aware of population figures in the late 50s, the world population has increased almost three fold. I have not seen any figures that suggest a declining world population for any year during that entire time. It may have slowed year over year but the population is not declining. That is teh reality of a declining population.
I was married when I was 24, my wife, 21. We are celebrating 49 years of marriage without so much as a day of separation because we wanted to be separated. I think, as usual, you are generalizing by spreading your own unsupported beliefs.Marriage in one's 20s is the recipe for divorce. There's no reason to rush into it while one is 25. That's just way too young.
