The problem with the current American "system" is that it is geared to making insurance companies rich at the cost of the sick and injured. The same was true of Obamacare.It isnt necessarily the case. At its core the NHS is a giant insurance scheme. The only difference between that and the US system is that its a lot more cost effective and we are all covered from cradle to grave.except for the fact that "lend a hand" is defined as gimme your money.“There’s no accounting for what fate will deal you. Some days you will need a hand. There are other days when you’re called to lend a hand.”
This part of the Presidents speech captured beautifully a moral and ethical basis for Americas future. I am not sure I have heard a better articulation of Socialism ever. It was a beautiful and electrifying moment.
Being poor and needy is not a crime and nor is it a sin. It should not be punishable.
