American politicians and the time, effort, energy and CASH spent on Mexicans

Thinking back to the second term of the soft spoken black dude with the oversized ears and unAmerican name....Has government spent more time on anything else? Have we put too much time into considering what’s best for Mexico?
Imagine if that time had been spent developing solutions for REAL Americans, our middle-class, struggling veterans...etc.
Why do we stand for this bullshit?
