American journalist killed by Israeli military

Almost every Arab nation received new borders post WWII and are engaged in conflicts with each other that get little news except for Reuters and AP News.

Wrong.
All Mideast borders were established before or just after WWI.
And there was no conflict between Mideast nations that changed any border after WWI, except the aggression that created Israel in 1948, and later expanded Israel in 1967.

Thanks for confirming that you are mentally ill or a member of an Islamic terrorist group.
My wife is Irish, and we are over 70 years old.
You are not only psychotic, you don't follow world news.

Name a major Mideast border change since WWI, besides the illegal start and growth of Israel?
There have been minor conflicts, like the Iran/Iraq war, the Yemen war, etc., but without any border changes.
The Kurds fight the Turks, but I agree that the Kurds got ripped off by WWI.
No other country disappeared like Kurdistan did.

Take it up with Merriam Webster Rigby5
Antisemitism
Hostility, prejudice, or discrimination against Jews
Antisemitism is hostility to, prejudice towards, or discrimination against Jews. A person who holds such positions is called an ...

You must be using Musiam Webster.

Wrong.
You clearly do not know how to use a dictionary.
Dictionaries also include incorrect uses of a word.
The dictionary is listing the abuse of cultural appropriation of a work that means Arab, to instead only imply Jews.

Here is the actual history of the word "Semitic" and it means of an Arab language group, that existed before Hebrew even existed at all, so can't be referring to Jews at all.

{...
The Semitic languages are a branch of the Afroasiatic language family. They are spoken by more than 330 million people across much of West Asia,[note 1] the Horn of Africa,[note 2] and latterly North Africa,[note 3] Malta,[note 4] West Africa, and in large immigrant and expatriate communities in North America, Europe, and Australasia. The terminology was first used in the 1780s by members of the Göttingen school of history, who derived the name from Shem, one of the three sons of Noah in the Book of Genesis.

Semitic languages occur in written form from a very early historical date in West Asia, with East Semitic Akkadian and Eblaite texts (written in a script adapted from Sumerian cuneiform) appearing from the 30th century BCE and the 25th century BCE in Mesopotamia and the north eastern Levant respectively. The only earlier attested languages are Sumerian, Elamite (2800 BCE to 550 BCE), both language isolates, and Egyptian (a sister branch of the Afroasiatic family, related to the Semitic languages but not part of them). Amorite appeared in Mesopotamia and the northern Levant circa 2000 BC, followed by the mutually intelligible Canaanite languages (including Hebrew, Phoenician, Moabite, Edomite and Ammonite, and perhaps Ekronite, Amalekite and Sutean), the still spoken Aramaic, and Ugaritic during the 2nd millennium BC.

Israeli Soldiers Kill Palestinian Journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, Andrew Yang Calls Out Bernie Sanders

I am Jewish, so know something about language, history, culture, etc.
My wife is Irish, and we are over 70 years old. Name a major Mideast border change since WWI,

Of course, every Arab supremacist here
is both a chief rabbi and nun...

And both are highly literate,
that's the deal with the
"religion of peace"...

Some educated conjecture:

No one targeted Shireen. Neither side would benefit from killing her. She was likely killed by a bullet that was aimed at another target.

The article says "hundreds" of bullets were shot at IDF troops, while the Duvdevan unit only fired "dozens" of bullets. Based on the audio of the fighting, this seems likely.

From the geolocation analysis people were doing on Twitter, most of the Palestinian fire was towards the west or northward. This article says only "some" Israeli fire was aimed northward, towards Akleh.

So, let's say 300 Palestinian bullets, only half of them northward - 150 bullets in that direction.
Let's say six dozen Israeli bullets, 30% aimed northward - that is 22 bullets in that direction.

So, back of the envelope calculation says 87% of the bullets aimed northward were Palestinian bullets.

The chances that an IDF soldier shot the bullet that killed her becomes far less likely when you consider that professional soldiers under central command and with an awareness of the laws of armed conflict and the repercussions of a mistaken gunshot do not fire randomly and shoot at very specific targets. Palestinians in Jenin with rifles are ar more likely to shoot in a general direction hoping to hit any soldier.

The odds are overwhelming that Palestinian bullets hit the Al Jazeera reporters and the tree they were near.

No, it is NOT!

Go look up the origins of the word "Semitic".
It derives from a son of Noah, Shem, and means "Arab".
It does NOT at all mean "Jewish", except that the original Hebrew were Arab because the language is of Arab origins.

Semitic languages predate Arabs in the middle east by millennia. The Arabs invaded in 3rd century AD from North Africa. The original people were the Medes, Hittites, Israelites, Assyrians, Amorites, Babylonians, and Persians. (With invading Greeks) ALL of these were Caucasian peoples. The Arabs came from North Africa and invaded during the great famine which was caused by a hundred-year drought.

The Jews, the Israelites, are the original Semites. Noah was an Israelite, not an African. The Arabs engaged in genocide when they invaded and wiped most of the original people out, but the Jews survived because of their Religion.

It happens again and again.

Start a thread and the Joes and Rigby's will show up and derail the topic into their favorite songs.

Try to avoid reading their posts. It will make your day.

BY THE LEFT's OWN ACTIONS: Antisemitism IS hatred of Jews. NOT hatred of arabs. The left allies with muslims and terrorists and other anti israel types.

Several of the groups calling on advertisers to boycott Twitter—citing Elon Musk's objectionable views—are at the forefront of the campaign to boycott Israel and are known for trafficking in anti-Semitic canards.

In the wake of Musk's $44 billion purchase of the social media site, a coalition of far-left groups is urging Twitter's advertisers to boycott the sale, claiming that Musk "intends to steamroll" restrictions on speech and "provide a megaphone to extremists who traffic in disinformation," according to an open letter sent last week to Twitter's advertisers, which reportedly include Disney, Coca-Cola, and Kraft.

Yet many of the groups involved in the anti-Musk campaign are known for trafficking in anti-Semitic tropes and promoting falsehoods about Israel, often on social media platforms like Twitter. They include Black Lives Matter, the Women's March, Kairos, and Friends of the Earth—all of which are known for stoking Jew-hatred and leading the charge to boycott Israel. Musk last week questioned who is funding and organizing these groups, which he says want to "control your access to information."

The Black Lives Matter movement, for instance, describes Israel as an "apartheid state" and supports efforts by the anti-Israel community to delegitimize the Jewish state.

"We are a movement committed to ending settler colonialism in all forms and will continue to advocate for Palestinian liberation (always have. And always will be)," the group tweeted in 2021, along with the hashtag "free Palestine."

lefties. Antisemitism...they hate jews.

The above has nothing to do with the topic of the thread. There is the Boycott thread for it.

I was not addressing you but another poster. It does fit in this topic because that poster insisted that antisemitism is hatred of arabs. Even by the lefts own actions in spite of their claims otherwise, it is shown that the left's antisemitism is aimed at Jews.
