I read an article today that spoke to the issue of 23 states suing Dept. of Ed for withholding funding. I was surprised to find that the funding was approved for K-12 ed but in reality these blue states are directing it to child care, adult ed, ESL, migrant ed and adult literacy programs. These are not K-12 ed. The article ended with a quote from the AG that said "We need these funds for our childrens' education." SMFH---None of it is going for our childrens' education. This is infuriating since special levies have to be passed in order to get the education funding that these grants are supposed to fund.
