25,000 employees would have to pay an average of $12 million in STATE taxes EACH in order to cancel out the $3 billion tax exemption given to Amazon by New York.Amazon pays pretty well....I have a friend that went to work for them...he started at 32,000 a year with full benefits...now he makes nearly 150,000 per year.../—-/ And you also say fuck you to the 25,000 lost jobs who would be paying income tax, property tax and sales tax - you imbecile
Amazon was being exempted from $3 billion of taxes as part of the deal. Minimum wage workers would not be able to make that up. Imbecile.
The minimum wage workers for Amazon are seasonal employees...most of them are semi retired folks....but even they get top quality health insurance and paid holidays and sick pay...and after the busy season is over they get a sizable bonus....This is NY's loss....
How long will it take for your "friend" to pay $12 million in state income taxes on a $32,000 income?

Ummmm…..25,000 times 12 million is 300 billion...…..
Math is hard for liberals and Barbie.
