‘Amateur hour’: Washington aghast at Trump administration's war plan group chat

Our National Security is at stake. The very lives of our Military Personnel are endangered. Our SecDef posted TOP SECRET information on public chat forum. ReNaziKlans went bat shit crazy over HRC and her email server. This is 100% worse. Arrest his treasonous ass and send him to GitMo.

It is of serious concern if there is some truth to the reporting.

I am not likely to believe Goddard's reporting until verified.

Mission was a success, no classified info leaked (perhaps), Europe gets a strong message about US military protecting them. Could be an intentional leak.

If it's accidental, it's a big deal. Not in this case, but the generic implications are huge.

It probably does not surprise anyone that government officials use encrypted commercial apps like Signal. That's probably because they work great and are less cumbersome than any app created by the government. Need to get Musk on that, pronto. :-)
The app is used for future deniability. You can’t find the receipts, if they’ve been erased.

He may have, but the administration figures DID! Why isn’t that of more concern? I’m sure it wasn’t the first time.

if it happened before, then it would be easy to find reports of it.

'Members of Congress and national security staffers were stunned Monday by a bombshell report that top Trump administration officials — including the vice president and Defense secretary — discussed war plans in a Signal group chat.

Many raised concerns about the potential mishandling of classified information as well as sensitive details regarding U.S. war plans.

“Only one word for this: FUBAR,” Rep. Pat Ryan (D-N.Y.), an Army veteran who sits on the Armed Services Committee, wrote on X. “If House Republicans won’t hold a hearing on how this happened IMMEDIATELY, I’ll do it my damn self.”'

There’s no limit to this ‘administration’s’ incompetence – further proof Trump is unfit to be president.

^ Extremely fake news

Im sure general millie will get right on it.

And as usual the dishonest right attempts to defend the indefensible.

This is beyond a monumental screwup, it’s astonishing – but not surprising – incompetence.

No harm, no foul. Lesson learned.

Its not like when 13 Americans were killed in AFG because Biden's guys refused to shoot the suicide bomber, after the Taliban said to shoot him. I still want to know who told the US sniper not to shoot.

I know what you're saying, but I would like to see more info on this. Is this normal protocol to use such an app? Supposedly it's encrypted, but it's also easily available.

No, there is no reason to believe that anyone in national security would use unsecured personal phones, or a commercial chat app to discuss classified information.

But this kind of sloppiness and disregard for protocol is endemic with the Trump regieme.

Jeffery Goldberg posted screenshots.
Faked screenshots....
Very easy to add phoney information in today's digital world....
And this story was published by extremely Left Wing publication and written by another extreme left wing editor who is KNOWN for false reporting.

But yet we are supposed to believe the entirety of everything said by him? And even more that he withheld information he deemed too sensitive?

Not buying it.

What I DO buy is that he got looped in mistakenly. But that there was no breach of OPSEC or Classified plans transmitted on the app. Not what would happen. Why would the others want or need to know those details? Especially when Trump was there with headset listening to the action....live.
