They're taught that because 99% of scientist and the evidence that they've collected over the past 200 years supports it. 99% of scientist believe in such because they've been convinced by the evidence without much doubt. You have no evidence for anything you're saying and that says something the ground your belief system stands on as it requires just belief because it makes you feel good about yourself. The problem we face in debating these people is the reality that these people live by feelings and illogical beliefs. It is the single biggest downfall of our species as many of them aint smart enough to over power their emotions(life teddy bear) and need the comfort of a god to get through life. Death scares them that ******* much.

It doesn't matter what science says! You can post mountains of data and evidence and they'll keep going on about how great their god is. A very large portion of our species aint to be considered a superior life form from that of a dog or a cat. They have no ability to consider a ******* thing.

This is why I believe that we must develop gene editing to enhance iq and the ability of a large portion of our species minds...Or we may well find ourselves under the force of a a fake god once again in our future.

That's what distinguishes scientists - we DO require proof. We don't buy things on faith. We require evidence, and the standard is it has to be reproducible and independently verifiable.

"Proof" is not in our vocabulary. We deal with levels of confidence. Every time we get a piece of supporting evidence our confidence level goes up. After 18 million pieces of supporting evidence we are quite confident.

Did you ever look at a quantile for 1 / 18 million? There's a whole lot of zeros before the first digit. Puts our confidence level around 99.999999 %. At this stage, additional evidence is almost meaningless, unless it contradicts the hypothesis. Which it never does. If you find any evidence like that you'll probably get a Nobel prize.
