EI director Ali Abunimah has filed criminal charges against Nicoletta della Valle, Switzerland's former police chief, over his illegal detention last year which prevented him speaking about the genocide in Gaza.
Nicoletta della Valle, then director of Fedpol, ordered a retroactive entry ban on Abunimah after he entered Switzerland legally, leading to his illegal detention. A court last month ruled that his detention was unconstitutional and violated the European Convention on Human Rights.
Della Valle has close ties to Israel.
