In late February and early March as the virus was spreading rapidly around the world some countries such as Germany, S Korea, Tiawan, Greece, New Zealand, Finland, and some others took aggressive action, shutting their countries down to fight the virus spread. Their aggressive action was highly effective and cases/deaths are significantly lower, AND they are beginning to open their economies back up.

On the other hand Trump foolishly said:
February 24: “The Coronavirus is very much under control in the USA. … Stock Market starting to look very good to me!”
February 26: “Because of all we’ve done, the risk to the American people remains very low. … When you have 15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero. That’s a pretty good job we’ve done."
February 28: “It’s going to disappear. One day, it’s like a miracle, it will disappear.”
The USA, UK, France, Italy, Spain, Iran, and other countries that ignored the warnings signs have had massive outbreaks with severe economic pain.
We get it, Trump supporters will never admit reality and never criticize Trump's failures, but the facts and evidence are clear. Trump downplayed the virus. All he did was close the border to China and nothing more. He ignored all the early warning signs and was too afraid of scaring the economy/stock market to take proper aggressive action. Now all the US can do is borrow trillions of dollars and hand it out to citizens hoping to stop the economic bleeding. But but but it's not trump's fault.

As governments fumbled their coronavirus response, these four got it right. Here's how. | CNN
As much of the world mulls gradually lifting lockdowns, there are still lessons to be learned from these four places that have led effective coronavirus responses. Here are 12 of those lessons.
