When asked what will Americans do to solve the many problems still plaguing them in an Iraqi town hall meeting friday Under Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz told a collection of Iraqi women that they need to "find the answers themselves".
That sounds surprisingly contradictory to the confident statements and stance he and his comrads took before they sold the Nation into backing this so called "war on terror".
Seems to me that even with the push by the Bush administration to shame the media out of reporting the many deaths of US soldiers at Iraqi hands, it still remains clear as day that the Coalition of the Willing has no clue what their doing.
In Afghansitan, their initial strike at terror, Al-Qeada and the Taliban seem to be regrouping. With the need to reconvine the war on terror to Iraq thousands of needed troops were moved out of Afghanistan which has clearly hurt the Coalitions efforts to stall terror and create a democratic society there.(btw Hamid Karazi used to work for Uncoal oil co.)
Now with the occupation of Iraq essentially being accomplished out side of the pesky "Saddam loyalist", the Bush administration contiues to threaten to attack other suspected terror friendly states like Iran, N. Korea, Syria. As if the US military can sustain more splintering.
Clearly the decision making abilities of the leadership in the White House as well as the DOD should be in question. With the advent of yet another "leak" this time in the Pentagon offices, we see the thoughts of Rumsfeld on the inability of his charges to handle the job of fighting terror. In this memo he even goes so far as to suggest that the US form yet another department dedicated especially to fighting terrorism abroad.Because the DOD isnt cabable of adjusting fast enough.
The Bush administration has been spending tax payer money like the niagara falls flow, its mind boggling how they actually expect to support all their billion dollar pet projects.
We can argue the speculations and failures to have credible intelligence to go into war until we're blue in the face. The outcome of these "protective actions" are now displaying the failures of this administration.
The body bags of the soldiers are a sober reminder of the realities of their decisions to wage war without any real objective or plan. This nations series of checks and balances will surely deal with those war mongers, who forced an unnecessary war.
The Greater issues now is fixing the damage done to the US's credibilty with the world and with Americans. Not to mention sloving some of the problems that have been created in the name of revenge.
I just hope that before Bush is escorted out of the White House he will have admitted and attempted to repair some of the damage done.
Oh yeah!!!GI's Built a new Soccer Field In Iraq.
