Don't laff your ass off, Marc. You'll need it when President Trump takes away your EBT card and puts your ass to work.

Okay- Scientific polls.

Polls suggest Hillary Clinton won the 2nd presidential debate

CNN/ORC conducted a poll of debate watchers — an audience that, the network’s David Chalian pointed out, “skewed a little more Democratic.” The poll found that 57 percent of respondents thought Clinton won, and only 34 percent thought Trump won.

Additionally, YouGov polled 812 registered voters who watched the debate, and found slightly less rosy numbers, but still a narrow win for Clinton. Forty-seven percent thought Clinton won the debate, and 42 percent thought Trump won, according to the poll. Among undecided voters polled, 44 percent thought Clinton won and 41 percent gave the night to Trump.

Climb out of your little ivory tower and your fake BS asshole and lighten up already

By the way how have you helped the blacks this past week? I helped feed over 200 of them so take your racist BS and stuck it. Understand?
It wasn't that long ago that Irish and Italian Americans were considered to be the low-life scum you consider Blacks to be.

Hate and prejudice against fellow Americans is a very bad thing. I don't support it. I do support being against self-destructive behavior such as racism or drug addiction, but if people want to do it, I can't stop them.

Hate if you want. From my POV, you, Joe, Asclepias and the other racists are all the same.
You mean the Italian Mafia and the Irish Westies and Bluebirds?
Yes, but also long before the mid-20th Century and later. Part of the prejudice against Irish and Italians was religious; most American immigrants prior to the mid-1800s were Protestants escaping persecution by Catholics. That persecution reversed when Catholics immigrated to the US dominated by Protestants.

Another prejudice was racism despite the fact all were "white":

http://xroads.virginia.edu/~ug03/omara-alwala/irishkennedys.html
  • Many fleed to Boston, and in one year Boston's Irish population jumped from 30,000-100,000
  • Looking for labor many Irish turned to servitude. 70% of servants in Boston were Irish immigrants
  • Bostonians believed that the Irish were a servant race
  • Bostonians called their Irish female servants the "bridgets" or "biddys" and the males "paddys".Many Irish named their children after the two popular Catholic saints however the names carried derisive connotations in America and many tried to erase that legacy. Joseph Sr.'s mother named him Joseph instead of Patrick after his father and grandfather. And Joseph Sr.'s grandmother Bridget Murphy never named her daughters Bridget.
  • Bostonians derisively monikered potatoes "murphies"
  • Of the 70% of Irish that were servants, two thirds were Irish women.
Irish-Americans, Racism, and the Pursuit of Whiteness -
Like many immigrant groups in the United States, the Irish were characterized as racial Others when they first arrived in the first half of the 19th century. The Irish had suffered profound injustice in the U.K. at the hands of the British, widely seen as “white negroes.” The potato famine that created starvation conditions that cost the lives of millions of Irish and forced the out-migration of millions of surviving ones, was less a natural disaster and more a complex set of social conditions created by British landowners (much like Hurricane Katrina). Forced to flee from their native Ireland and the oppressive British landowners, many Irish came to the U.S.

Once in the U.S., the Irish were to negative stereotyping that was very similar to that of enslaved Africans and African Americans. The comic Irishman – happy, lazy, stupid, with a gift for music and dance – was a stock character in American theater. Drunkenness and criminality were major themes of Irish stereotypes, and the term “paddy wagon”has its etymological roots in the racist term “paddy,” a shortening of the name “Patrick,” which was used to refer to the Irish. However, this is also a gendered image and refers to Irish men, specifically. The masculine imagery of “paddy” hides the existence of Irish women, but did not protect Irish women from racism as they were often more exposed to such racism through domestic jobs. Women typically played a key role in maintaining Catholic adherence, which resonates closely with Irishness and difference. The “model minority” (if you will) stereotype of Irish-American women is of a “Bridget,” recognized for her hard work and contribution to Irish upward class mobility.

Simian, or ape-like caricature of the Irish immigrant was also a common one among the mainstream news publications of the day (much like the recent New York Post cartoon). For example, in 1867 American cartoonist Thomas Nast drew “The Day We Celebrate”a cartoon depicting the Irish on St. Patrick’s Day as violent, drunken apes. And, in 1899, Harper’s Weekly featrued a drawing of three men’s heads in profile: Irish, Anglo-Teutonic and Negro, in order to illustrate the similarity between the Irish and the Negro (and, the supposed superiority of the Anglo-Teutonic). In northern states, blacks and Irish immigrants were forced into overlapping – often integrated – slum neighborhoods. Although leaders of the Irish liberation struggle (in Ireland) saw slavery as an evil, their Irish-American cousins largely aligned with the slaveholders

Well, yes, i konw you I am hurting your wittle feelings, which no doubt leaves you so hurt.
Why would my feelings be hurt when it is I who have pointed out your obvious prejudices and hatreds of Jews and those who disagree with you?

Isn't it true that it's your feelings which are hurt?

What's "reverse racism?"
It's a made-up term like "assault weapon". Racism is racism. As used, "reverse racism" is racism of a minority against the majority. As just stated, it's just racism.

Yeah and we pulled ourselves out of it. Now YOU watch who you are calling racist. Understand this, you do not know me, don't pretend you know me and never ever post something about me again unless you can prove it. Now run along and pretend you know someone else.
And it only took 200 years. :cheeky-smiley-018:

Why should I watch it when I call out racists? Are you denying this post?:

Joe sounds like a Neeeeeegro

It's actually worse.
Disagreed. Once you kill a person, you take everything they have and will ever have. Slavery is an abomination, but murder is final, slavery is not. Additionally, if slavery is worse than murder/death, then why don't slaves commit suicide? Are they cowards?

That said, I'd like to hear your reasoning on why you believe slavery is worse than death, much less murder.

Don't laff your ass off, Marc. You'll need it when President Trump takes away your EBT card and puts your ass to work.
LOL. While I strongly support the idea of workfare, despite his erroneous ideas, I think Marc is one of the few LWers on this forum who has a good middle class job. :)

Trump won..

As for the debate, sorry to say, but Hillary won. What Trump did was salvage his campaign. While the latest scandal hurt his campaign, I think this debate put it behind him and pushed his campaign forward. In that regard, Trump did "win" the debate.

This debate could easily have been Hillary giving Trump a coup de grâce. Instead, Trump stood up to Hillary, salvaged his campaign and got in several solid hits of his own against Hillary.

FWIW, there is less time between Trump's "locker room talk" in 2005 and Bill getting BJ's in the Oval Office than the time on that bus and now.

I've probably accomplished more than you ever will. I'm not living off something I did deacdes ago.
Disagreed about accomplishments and that Hossfly is living off the past.

Unlike Hossfly, you have a lot of anger and hatred against others. A lot of anger. This is usually indicative of either a person who has mental issues or feels they are a failure; a concept that describes you to a tee.

The number of Africans that died directly from the slave trade has numbers upwards of 30 million. And that's a conservative estimate. But who's comparing tragedy numbers, right?

Does that include the slaves captured by Africans and who died enroute to the coast in Africa?

Please post your references so we can discuss this further. FWIW, slavery is an abomination, but it began thousands of years before 1776. Sadly, it still exists in the cradle of humanity: Africa.

Ironically, as the cradle of the human race, Africans invented slavery. ;)

Naw, I'm just annoyed by your lack of honest discussion...

Me: "I think that the Zionists have too much influence on our foreign policy"

You' "Why do you hate the Jews, you anti-Semite"

That'snot a discussion. That's a diversion.
