There would be no massive economic collapse at all. Instead of running in circles waving your arms about & screaming OMG OMG OMG, you should really consider what would happen if we do nothing about AGW.

When Iowa & Nebraska become too hot to maintain corn & soybean production at today's eels, then what? Orchards no longer producing where they currently located. Severe droughts & more sever storms. All the current farmers & orchardists forced to abandon their once rich farms & start over. What about economic effect?

Food shortages where they used to be plentiful supplies. More powerful countries struck will look to their neighboring country & take theirs.

These are not short term. They would last for generations.
