Alabama Voters Pass Amendment to Display Ten Commandments at Public Schools

I'm agnostic, have no religion but the 10 commandments are excellent rules ALL should live by!...Or do you SATAN worshippers disagree?

You say that you have no religion, but you believe that there is a "Satan". some evil god?

Lol religious nonsense
Separation of church and state. I guess if you cant count on people from Alabama not to marry their sisters they wouldnt understand that concept either.

What’s wrong with , tho shout not kill, tho shout not steal, and the other common sense rules of humanity?

What is wrong with displaying the Ten Commandments?

Well I personally think that they should not be displayed in the courts around the country, nor in places of political figures.

The reason is simple. Do you really want to display a document that says, "Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not covet, Thou shalt not commit adultery?"

I mean, it will only create a hostile work environment.

The very thing judge Roy Moore was removed from office for.Good for you Alabama. The Godless commies will be along directly to get this amendment struck down.Just watch....They have judges on payroll in Hawaii to do just this!:)

In the Nov. 6 elections, residents of Alabma voted overwhelmingly to amend their state constitution to authorize the display of the Ten Commandments on public property, including public schools. The measure, Alabama Amendment 1, also defined certain religious liberty rights to be included in the state's constitution.

Good it's about time someone tells these godless fkrs sit down and stfup..........

And this does that how? By spending money to defend a blatantly unconstitutional law?

You want to worship God, go right ahead. No one is stopping you. But requiring a the dogma of a single religion to be included in schools certainly violates the 1st amendment.

It is an opportunity for children to learn about a document that has shaped and formed Western Civilization.

The problem is, the Left disdains that history and wishes to wipe it clean, much like ISIS going around destroying history in the Middle East cuz they don't like it either.

And there is the rub. History involves revealing truths, truths that the Left does not like.

It's called education.

Perhaps instead of pulling out 3rd graders from class to go protest guns, teachers can instead teach them a little about a document that is the most read and famous in all of human history.

Alabama was one of those states that passed very harsh illegal immigration bills and as a result crops rotted in the fields because there was no one to pick them.
Fake news.
Yes you are fake news.

Alabama immigration: crops rot as workers vanish to avoid crackdown

"Brian Cash can put a figure to the cost of Alabama's new immigration law: at least $100,000. That's the value of the tomatoes he has personally ripening out in his fields and that are going unpicked because his Hispanic workforce vanished literally overnight."
Hire AMERICAN, pay more and the consumer will pay more!.....import the homeless from San Fran, and make that city pay for their transportation and lodging....cheaper than having a POOP SQUAD cleaning up after them, and their tourism MIGHT come back!
When The U.S. Government Tried To Replace Migrant Farmworkers With High Schoolers

They tried that once.

Teach the effects of the 10 Commandments in a history class. It should not be a standard of school rules.

Cool, how about the Constitution instead then? Or the Koran? Or the Torah?

In of itself nothing. However, the government shouldnt engage in brainwashing people to be christians.

The government shouldn't be involved in education period. Republicans used to run on that. But there are very few real conservatives representing the Republican party in Washington. If we want to be good conservatives, the best way to do that is to start by asking what the role of government should be. And we have a very good guide in the Constitution.

They can display it in history class.

They can teach it. Just like they should teach about Confucious, about the Founding Father's desire to provide religious freedoms, and the multitude of other facts surrounding this issue.

What in particular from the Koran?

Kill infidels where you may find them?

Now if you go to the Middle East, they should have elements from the Koran displayed to teach the children how their culture was molded.

Is it equally important to children in the US? No, but it is still history and should also be taught.

In short, emphasis should be placed on document that have molded the culture in which you are apart of.
