Hey, haven't at least some provinces allowed Sharia Law to be enforced? If that, why not al Jeezera? At the same time, I believe we can get with satellite.

I don't even care if they do allow this stuff to air over here. I believe in freedom of information (no matter where it comes from). What makes me mad is that Paul Martin is following Jean Cretiens Legacy of only allowing left wing and/or anti-american media on our TV sets.

It's too bad. Canada has so much potential. A history I can be proud of. But a future I fear.

The government says its to protect Canadian culture. (which I would believe if they banned CNN too). but in reality they just don't want a right wing perspective.

We haven't fallen into socialism yet. Right now we are what you'd call a mixed society. Basialy a free market with a couple of government run sytems (health care/education). Corporations actually pay lower taxes here then in the states. Unfortunately we seem to be slowly falling into solcialism. Our government seems to think everyone deserves free daycare. And our safety net rewards lazyness, when it should be nothing more then a tool for people to help themselves get back on there feet.

I'm here for four or five more years until i finish school. I guess I'll have to see where Mr. Martin takes this country during that time. But I'll be damned if I enter the work force after shelling out thousands of dollars for school just so I can support some guy who would rather sit on welfare then get a job at McDonalds. (trust me. I used to hang with the wrong people. and there are a lot of them).

It's hard to know what to do with most of these people unless you have been one of them, trust ME, I know too.

I can't discredit all social programs since I do work for 2.
