Zone1 Agnostics: Are you seekers of or indifferent to God?

Every single one have been perpetrators? Not one has been sincere?
Not every one, but enough so that the generalization holds....I'd be hard pressed co come up with one that hasn't, at one point or another.
Are you also of the mind no student needs a teacher?
How did you come to make that stretch?

Do you care if God exists? Have you actively sought God, and if so, in what ways did/do you seek? If you do not care whether or not God exists, what led to that lack of caring?
I consider myself agnostic in so far as I don't know how our universe came to be. If you mean the God of the bible, I thought about it when I was young but, my logic told me, there was no such thing. I've never found a reason to change my mind about either.

Tell me precisely what was proven and how it was proven.
Not only that the bibles have been proven to be false my friend, the Catholic church offered its own proof of that. The only part that can be debated is the year in which the C.c. stepped down from the creation claim.

Modern Christians have agreed to roll with that punch.

That doesn't say that the flock accepted evolution in 1950. That's only the year in which the C.c. realized that something had to be done.

People like you create so called Agnostics .
You are the type of supercilious low brow that decent thinking people immediately dislike .
You just smell of self righteousness and arrogance

God Wouldn't Let Us Believe in Him If He Didn't Exist

That is a true example of the logical fallacy called "Begging the Question." But the Netrix stubbornly sticks to whatever mutilated language the ignorant blabbers (both sides) in the media use. The talking boneheads tell us it means "which leads to another question."

For example, if Arnold Schwartzenegger announced he was running for President, they'd blab, "That begs the question: 'Which Party will he choose?" But it actually begs the question by assuming that as an immigrant, he can run for the Presidency.

Actually, it is always a very small percent that causes the uproar and gets attention.

Science proves it but maybe you should prove to me precisely how to wake someone from being dead or how virgins can become pregnant.
What is the "it" you are saying science proves? Religion is more in the realm of philosophy than the realm of science as science explains the physical not the philosophical or the spiritual.

Yet I am the exact opposite. But I am curious. What is it about the thread topic that disturbs you? When a thread or a post disturbs someone, instead of ignoring the topic and/or simply moving on to the next thread, the need is to attack and insult the poster.

Maybe you're right.

Or something ....

I'll take your word for it.

You get the point though right? Most Christians feel the exact same way we do about Islam, Mormons, Jehova's, Jews. Those religions aren't real. Only Christianity is real. They don't realize they actually agree with us about all the other religions. We just disagree when it comes to their religion.

Same thing with Muslims. They may recognize Jesus was a great man, but he was NOT the son of god. So in a round about way, they're calling bullshit on Christianity. Can you blame them?

I truly believe religions just have an agreement with each other not to call each other out for being bullshit. So they are "respectful" of each other, while actually being passive aggressive. Telling people "only through Jesus will you get into heaven". What kind of horse shit is that?

People don't understand. We are totally open to a God being real. But it's just not the god of the bible. New or Old. Book of Mormons. Karan. All BULLSHIT. Even THE KING JAMES! Man made! Wake up!!

You want to quote where I have ever said that? I won't hold my breath waiting for you to find any such quote. My own belief is that all religions hold some aspect of truth, and reaches the people the Holy Spirit intends for them to reach.
Well, Jews don't believe that Jesus was the messiah.

Muslims believe Jesus was just a prophet.

And Mormon founder said God told me Catholicism lost it's moral authority and connection to god during the dark ages of Popes and Joe Smith should start a new religion because yours is no good anymore. Roughly 1000 to 1200 AD.

It takes about eighty hours to read the Bible cover to cover. (There are 8,760 hours in a year)

From whose perspective do people read the Bible? After reading a Bible passage, how long does it take to discern the reality of God in that passage? Ever try to read the Bible from God's point of view or perspective?

What would make God 'real'? What did Biblical authors miss?

So what? Jews have reasons for not believing Jesus is the Messiah. Christians have reason to believe that he is. "Messiah" means anointed one. Jews believe a descendant of David will take on the physical governance of the physical world, that he will have been anointed to do so.

Christians believe Jesus was anointed to take on the spiritual governance of the spiritual kingdom. Ever reflect that both are possible?

Muslims believe, Jesus, as prophet, was someone who spoke God's word to the people. Christians believe Jesus is God's Word. We are at least in the same ballpark.

Joseph Smith...sigh. He saw the Catholic Church as standing in his way. Tear it down and build his own variety where his followers can become Gods, too. Why settle with being servants of God when one can become God.

You bring up an interesting reflection point: If there were one religion would there be fewer atheists and/or agnostics? What say you?

I just told you. Rising from the dead, virgins becoming pregnant, plus so much more superstious balderdash. You asked me for proof and I've given it to you.
Religion is more in the realm of philosophy than the realm of science as science explains the physical not the philosophical or the spiritual.
No, you are wrong. ➡️ Religion is more in the realm of theory. It is the job of science to prove or disprove theory. 'Organized religion' (the basis of this dialogue) is rooted in both unproven and disproven theory. I don't care what you believe but do not think for a moment that you can mesmerise me with disproven theory and superstition. It ain’t gonna’ happen.

You get the point though right?
Not exactly.
Most Christians feel the exact same way we do about Islam, Mormons, Jehova's, Jews. Those religions aren't real. Only Christianity is real.
As an Agnostic myself I don't see Agnosticism as being "real" as in the sense that it affords me any insight to life or its purpose. I see Agnosticism as being more sincere than those other religions however by avoiding convictions all together. So no, I don't "get your point".
