So they had an open and shut case against Lois but chose not to prosecute. Same as with mayors of sanctuary cities who brazenly violate federal laws and Lynch turns a blind eye. The most lawless administration in history.

Loretta Lynch: Lois Lerner Protected by 'Prosecutorial Discretion' | National Review Online

nov 17 2015 Justice Department officials used “prosecutorial discretion” to shelter former IRS official Lois Lerner from a grand jury after she was held in contempt of Congress.

“I believe that in the exercise of prosecutorial discretion, the matter was handled and was resolved,” Attorney General Loretta Lynch told the House Judiciary Committee on Tuesday morning. The administration’s invocation of prosecutorial discretion has become familiar to lawmakers through the debate over President Obama’s recent series of executive orders on immigration, and it frustrates Republicans. Lynch’s answer particularly annoyed Representative Darrell Issa (R., Calif.), who led much of the investigation into the IRS’s Tea Party targeting scandal when he was chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

Eh, it pays to be juiced in. It isn't the first time someone got a pass for doing their master's dirty work and it won't be the last.

That said, we're clearly past the point where we're a nation of laws and not of men. So long as We The People tolerate it, we're not going back.

"Yes, she was guilty as hell, like eric holder was, but we decided it was in the best interest of the Obama administration, Lois Lerner, the Democratic party, and Liberals if we just DIDN'T prosecute her, leaving the only ones 'screwed' being the American citizens she targeted!"

The Obama administration in a nutshell....

It wasn't open and shut, it was contempt and a garbage charge.
