“This is not decay,” Barr said. “This is organized destruction. Secularists and their allies have marshaled all the forces of mass communication, popular culture, the entertainment industry, and academia in an unremitting assault on religion and traditional values.”

The attorney general said numerous measures of social decline are rising as religion recedes from public life, citing higher instances of drug addiction, mental illness, and suicide. Those outcomes are not random, but the fruit of a dedicated campaign against orthodox religious belief, Barr added.

Barr is of course absolutely correct. The main problem is, that there are far too few people on our side with this high a profile willing to state this case forcefully and who are willing to push back against this purposeful destruction on a continual basis.

Right now all we have is President Trump fighting this on a daily basis. The rest of the republicans are virtually silent on this subject. They are too afraid to face the liberal firestorm that is the inevitable result.

So, the leftist engineered destruction of our traditions and values marches on.....Communism, Socialism, Nazism, Fascism, the DemonRAT PARTY OF INFANTICIDE, MUST Abolish religion with its inherent good and ethical standards in order to flourish....and this I say as an AGNOSTIC!....An ETHICAL agnostic!

why be a liar, the decay inside christianity, the desert religions has been a plight of humanity from their beginnings - fear of secularism is not an assault on religion but the fundamental flaws existing in those religions of greed and selfishness - disguised as "ethics" by the o p.

The latest polling I've seen, 2015 I think, showed 70% of the country identifies as Christian. That number has been in a slow decline over the years but still a substantial portion of the population.

You are correct, the audience is still out there, it's just the attacks are not worth the ridicule. Most Christians avoid conflict and attention. Whether you're religious or not, the fundamental values of Christianity are good for everyone.

The courage of high profile voices needs to be encouraged.

Describes Breezewood doesn't it!

Attorney General Bill Bar says increased rates of mental illness and drug abuse can be attributed to the declining influence of religion in the United States.

The country's top lawmaker made the claim in an ominous address delivered Friday at the University of Notre Dame's Law School in Indiana.

In his speech, the outspoken Republican, 69, also launched a withering attack on 'so-called progressives', accusing them of being actively involved in an 'organized destruction' of Judeo-Christian values.

Barr, who is a practicing Catholic, told the crowd of law students on Friday: 'Along with the wreckage of the family, we are seeing record levels of depression and mental illness, dispirited young people, soaring suicide rates, increasing numbers of angry and alienated young males, an increase in senseless violence and a deadly drug epidemic.'

He subsequently stated that 70,000 Americans die each year from drug overdoses - a figure higher than the total number of American military personnel killed during the Vietnam War (58,220).

Total bullshit. The decay is not in Christianity. It's decay of those who reject accountability and fundamental expectations of what Jesus taught. No Christian organization promotes greed and selfishness. Just because you claim it doesn't make it true. Our own laws are based on the most basic teachings of Christianity starting with the 10 Commandments.

1)this mostly goes away when you arrest the source sponsorship(s)
Sorros being arrested would stop their protection of his money flow to their activism (political terrorism).
Notice soon as Guilliani went after outing Sorros' hands in all this Guilliani became a target.
2)Before his election I warned they will be making things difficult for Trump because he was not on the
Council of Foreign Affairs, as they like all candidates to be part of their pay to play money machine whereby foreign affairs is where the big money is made for corrupt politicians (which is why Hillary of all positions chose to be assigned by Obama as Sec of State to continue her connections this foundation donors).
Notice now that one of the 3 investigative bodies on this impeachment inquiry is SURPRISE= The Council of Foreign Affairs, which is illegal since they are investigating the basis of this administration's investigating their members illegal activities and benefits from their position and abuse of powers.
This is like having the Mob partake in investigating Guilliani investigating it's mob members illegal activities. Wait, that's what is happening. -Go Figure!

Investigate the Councils activities, emails phone transcripts, expose the pay to play schemes oh which require other nations cooperation-go figure, Mueller and his Hillary lawyers were allowed to go to foreign entities to help investigate a political rival, but Council of foreign affairs won't allow this if it's their own members crimes being investigated. -ooops
The House of cards are about to fall.

Horse shit.

And this describes them too.

Socialism intentionally denies examination because it is irrational. There is no formal defined dogma of socialism. Instead there is only a vague, rosy notion of something good, noble and just: the advent of these things will bring instant euphoria and a social order beyond reproach. Socialism seeks equality through uniformity and communal ownership Socialism has an extraordinary ability to incite and inflame its adherents and inspire social movements. Socialists dismiss their defeats and ignore their incongruities. They desire big government and use big government to implement their morally relativistic social policies. Socialism is a religion. The religious nature of socialism explains their hostility towards traditional religions which is that of one rival religion over another. Their dogma is based on materialism, primitive instincts, atheism and the deification of man. They see no distinction between good and evil, no morality or any other kind of value, save pleasure. They practice moral relativity, indiscriminate indiscriminateness, multiculturalism, cultural Marxism and normalization of deviance. They worship science but are the first to reject it when it suits their purposes. They can be identified by an external locus of control. Their religious doctrine is abolition of private property, abolition of family, abolition of religion and equality via uniformity and communal ownership. They practice critical theory which is the Cultural Marxist theory to criticize what they do not believe to arrive at what they do believe without ever having to examine what they believe. They confuse critical theory for critical thinking. Critical thinking is the practice of challenging what one does believe to test its validity. Something they never do.

Seidel explains what Barr does not:

'Is Christian Nationalism Really a Problem? Is It Influential?

It is because of Christian nationalism that "President Donald Trump" is a phrase that reflects reality and not reality television. Before Trump, Christian nationalism tended toward the corrupt and inept. It was an odd, impotent curiosity. But the 2016 election changed that. Trump won because of Christian nationalism. The movement is still based on lies and myths, but a Christian nationalist was elected president of the United States, and he was elected (because of [italics]), not in spite of, his Christian nationalism. The single most accurate predictor of whether a person voted for Donald Trump in the 2016 election was not religion, wealth, education, or even political party; it was believing the United States is an should be a Christian nation ("Make America Christian Again: Christian Nationalism and Voting for Donald Trump in the 2016 Presidential Election," Sociology of Religion 79 No. 2, 19 May 2018, 147-71, https://doi.org/10/10.93/socrel/srx70)

Researchers studied this connection and were able to control for other characteristics to ensure Christian nationalism was not simply a proxy for other forms of intolerance or other variables related to vote choice. They concluded, "The more someone believed the United States is -- and should be -- a Christian nation, the more likely they were to vote for Trump." The researchers summed up their study for the Washington Post, "Despite Porn Stars and Playboy Models, White Evangelicals Aren't Rejecting Trump. This is Why," Washington Post, 26 Mar 2018.

Trump rode a wave of Christian nationalism, fostered by fables and myths about America's founding, to the most powerful office in the world. "Once Christian nationalism was taken into account," the researchers explained, "other religious measures had no direct effect on how likely someone was to vote for Trump. These measures of religion mattered only if they made someone more likely to see the United States as a Christian nation." Put another way, "Christian nationalism provides a metanarrative for a religiously distinct national identity." That identity depends on the historical myths exposed in this book. Those myths are the glue that unites the Christian part of this identity with the American part of the identity. Without the bond provided by these myths, the identity and political power begin to crumble. Christian nationalism is, at least in this sense, more important than religion, political party, or any other factor in American life.'
