After the presidency and 9 years of campaigning for it Trump has to be wondering whether or not it's worth it.

The only other president that I can think of in recent history that was harassed like Trump was George w Bush. His harassment actually might have been worse if I recall correctly. Trump is visibly spent and almost looks like he's happy the whole thing is over however it ends. His legal battles will now fizzle away because there is no longer any purpose for them. The legal actions were never about the law they were always about politics.

The rest of it is up to us. Do we move forward as a unified nation regardless of the results? I fear those days are past.

Very true and many people have become estranged from other family members over politics now. I have to defend hadit on this point though in that he didn't deny that it happens. He just said his own family has not succumbed to that kind of political hatred. I envy him as I cannot say that about my own though it is actually only three or four individuals who have inserted that kind of toxicity into our family.

And yes all are hardcore leftists.

We, however, are probably fairly evenly split between those on the right, those on the left, those in the middle and we have a very large family. And most of us get along just fine in spite of that. It's just a few hardcore fanatics that cause any problems.
