UNDER OUR CONSTITUTION, only Congress has the power to declare war. As it sits now, the President has enough discretionary power to cause a hostile enemy to either formally declare war on us, or to force our Congress to declare war on them.

This ain't right.

The President should NOT have that power; there should be some formal means whereby the leaders in congress can place a check on Presidential adventurism.

Parenthetically, the focus yesterday on President Biden's stumble was appalling. A stumble like that could happen to ANYONE, even someone in perfect health. It has happened to me when I bought a new pair of shoes.

Congress does have a check...as you highlighted they can only declare war, in addition there is the War Powers Act, which was created after Johnson's missteps in South East Asia
