Slavery has been around since the old testament days. Remember, in the biblical narrative, Joseph was sold into slavery by his jealous brothers.
Slavery is not an ideal form of cheap labor but how it has been portrayed ......especially the nature of it in our Southern States is a joke....hollywood did a number on the South and with the help of the public schools and the msm completely fictionalized it.
Every advanced civilization needs cheap labor and will until robots are perfected.
Today we have the illegal mexicans essentially assuming the role of a servant class...replacing our traditional servant class......the blacks who went on the dole.
It all began in California because produce growers out there could not find enough labor to tend to their crops and it has just grown and expanded to the extent now that immigrants from Mexico have spread out over the country and are taking all sorts of jobs many of which at one time were good paying jobs.....thus by their willingness to work for low wages they have lowered wages for everyone.....a win win for employers......but it has devastated the middle class...now phoney joe who fraudulently claims to be a middle class guy is willing to allow millions to come up here.....not just for cheap labor but for political reasons also.
And so it goes......the msm supports all this...and coupled with the fact that too many white middle class folks are clueless and only interested in drinking beer and watching sports on T.V --the threats to America remain un-addressed for the most part.
