AFC/NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES

Well, I don't have any history with the guy, the Bears are not normally a team I follow. Many were poo-pooing Chicago this playoff cycle while many others were saying Chicago was the team to watch out for.

Turns out that they were.

Fact is they came within 3 points of going to the NFC Conference Championship, and it took the Rams into OT to finally knock them out of contention.

I will definitely be keeping my ear to the rail for further developments with Williams in the coming year. To be honest, I was kind of pulling for the Bears to win as the underdogs--- you just don't see Chicago in the Big Game very often.
I started watching him halfway through the season. He set the all time passing yards record for the Bears in his second year. Their receiving corp ranked 10th in the NFL and they have a couple really good RBs. Could be dangerous team next year.

He still has accuracy problems. He did improved over last season though. He has the athletic ability to work into a quality franchise QB.
He went from a shaky rookie year to all-time Bears passing leader in his second. I'd say that is a quantum leap. Add to that several remarkable late comebacks against top teams.

Being the Bears passing leader is not a huge accomplishment. They don’t have a history of having great QB’s

Look, Williams has made fantastic progress in so short a time and nearly got the team into a conference championship. Call it what you want, but that deserves some recognition whatever the past performance of the team has been!

I mean, just a couple years ago, the Patriots were nowhere and now here they are going to the Super Bowl.

The Bears showed me a lot this year, they got me very interested in them for maybe the first time in my life, now I will look forward to seeing what comes of it in the next season. Frankly, the Steelers should be so lucky to have Williams as their QB. Those boobs are actually talking about bringing Rodgers back again at the age of 43!

Yes, Williams made good progress. He’s still not there yet. Obviously the potential is there though

You mean he's no good because he is not a Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers yet? :cuckoo:
The guy came within a shave of going to a conference championship.

The Steelers had Aaron Rodgers and they got their ass kicked in the Wildcard game.
The Bills had Josh Allen and went no farther than the Bears. In fact, both teams lost in OT by the same 3 points.

I'm a Josh Allen but I have no idea what he was trying to do at the end of the half running around the middle of the field giving up a fumble and handing the Broncos 3 points that was exactly what they lost by. McDermott owns a piece of that too. Take a knee and go to the locker room.

No. He still has accuracy issues when throwing the ball. In fact this year he took a step backwards in that area

IMO Josh has always been a little careless w/ the football when running! He often holds it in 1 hand, literally exposing it to a T/O every time he runs! When he loses it, IDK why we're surprised. ;-)

My point is Allen shouldn't have been running around in the middle of the field with 16 seconds left in the half and no timeouts.

Damn, I wish I could remember that now, all the games are blurring together because I'm just not a great Bills fan but I think I vaguely remember something of it.

If you can find any video of it, I'd love seeing it again.

As I recall and as you say, sounds like Josh should have been throwing passes along the sideline to preserve clock.

Allen did t have many weapons to throw the ball to this year. They were pretty much a one dimensional offense.

Every NFL team has NFLplayers. I don't buy that at all. Any of them can runout, turn right and catch the ball. Or "go deep". Sixth graders been doing it since the can go outside alone.

They had TE, WR. Just because the media says they are not upper tier ? BS on that. 0.1 sec slower in the 40? Lol. Not the end of the world. Cooks was open behind the DB and the pass caught until wrestled away. TE catch passes. They are good enuff.

They have been practicing since last July? They had about 20 games against other NFL.

That was always the Bill's problem. Josh is great but the team lacks in many other areas. That's why Seattle is such a killer: Good offense and with a defense that shuts you down not letting you score any points and they just wear you down while they keep adding points to the scoreboard themselves.

Good point. Did you ever see so many people literally paid MILLIONS of dollars to work 1/3rd of the year that so many people in them could not even effectively do their jobs greatly?

When was the last time you worked anywhere that you could still stink and yet your employer couldn't fire you?

They can't all be acrobatic Puka Nucua but they should be good enuff to get the job done. They are NFL recievers for the love of GOD. Runout, fake right, go left, look for ball, catch ball. Same as Don Maynard from Joe Namath in 69' lol. A Little faster nowadays

Maybe the field is to small due to steroids?

Lots of injuries and Coleman was a bust.
For some reason, the Bills can’t hold on to good wide
receivers. They draft well in that area either.

Allen’s salary is putting a serious handicap on the Bills ability to sign or retain talent.
