AFC/NFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES

Color me skeptical--- the Pats just went up against a team that had just lost their star QB for a guy who has sat on a bench collecting splinters the past year, and the Pats just barely beat them by a FG despite their only scoring 7 points.

The Seahawks look like a bunch of men on a mission.
I agree.

The Super Bowl is Seattle's to lose this year. If they lose, it will be of their own making.

They are the best team, as much as it pains me to say so.

Huh? The superbowl is in San Fran this year.

Seahawks vs Patriots should be a good matchup.

I hope so. Seattle is a mensch--- strong offense and best defense. They keep you from scoring while they just pound away putting up points and wearing people down but I've not watched the Pats play much. I missed the Chargers game, and both the Texans game and Broncos game kind of sucked at really showing anything of the Pats; the Texans plaid shitty and sabotaged themselves, and who can make sense of the Broncos game? A white out in blowing snow against a team with a back up QB?

Hard to say how both teams will fare in an actual warm, fair climate against a strong opponent. I mean, we KNOW how Seattle will play.

IMO, the NFC is much better this year than the AFC and Seattle has faced much tougher teams (like the Rams) in getting here than has the Pats.

Seattle destroys the Pats.

YEP. Consider this:
  • Seahawks put up 41 points against the 49ers!
  • Seahawks put up 31 points against the Rams!
What has New England done?
  • Pats only put up 16 points against the Chargers (a team only able to kick 1 FG).
  • Pats only put up 28 points against the stumbling Texans, who were basically tripping over their own feet all game.
  • Now the Pats only manage 10 points against a team with a back-up QB?

I'll take pats over donkeys because I can't stand Sean Payton. He indeed turned Denver around, but still don't like the guy.
I'll take seahawks over rams because they got the leagues best defense and rams depleted offensive line.
The Rams offensive line was not depleted. They were healthy.

SF in February is not exactly a tropical climate.

Seattle is very familiar with playing there.

If the Rams would have beaten the Seahawks they’d be the heavy favorite as well. Seattle and the Rams are the best two teams in the NFL this season.

I see Seattle, SF and LA to be a series of great games for the next few years.

The Rams are getting old though in some critical positions, like QB. When Stafford is done, that are in trouble.

It sure beats Denver, or Detroit, or New England.

Totally.

I agree, despite the Rams being #5 seed.

Don't forget the Bears.

Sean Payton's blunder of not kicking the easy field goal in the second quarter gave the momentum to the Patriots and sealed the Broncos' fate. When you're playing a good defensive team in the conference championship game, you take points whenever you can get them. You don't gamble on a fourth-down conversion when you can kick an easy field goal and when you're playing with your backup QB.

A very bad, baffling decision by Sean Payton.

The Bears aren’t in the NFC West.

I just meant I still consider them one of the best teams in the NFC. The Rams had to go into OT just to beat them by a FG.

If its La NIna, it can be days and days of rain and floods like 1983. Less over in SJ or SC area than Boulder creek or Ben Lomond. But the stadium is built sother end of or near the bay. Built on landfill maybe? It could become a swamp. I forget? Is ift fake grass with drainage?

The golf course across the street was built on a trash dump. I think it is no more now?

All I care is betting numbers that will win. It is no fun losing bets. Even a $10 bet makes me angry, feeling like a liser or God is out to get me. I want somebody's butt over a $20 Saturday missed by 0.5 points on Sean freaking Peyton place refusing a short FG before the weather!!!!!!

If you have Josh Allen, then it's a good call, not with a backup with zero games under his belt.
