no one died on the Roosevelt and few if any would have died
They followed Croziers advice, brought the ship to port and isolated the crew
but maybe they needed more time to ready a replacement
Croziers letter shaming the Navy got them to do something. Also got Crozier fired.
The Navy is still scrambling to put this thing behind them
I suspect the Navy did not want to make the chinese disease a public issue
But crozier blew that up and to a certain extent aided the enemy

You can send information up the chain and horizontally along the command structure to those who need to know.
It was an important matter. One calling for expedited action
he went around his commanding officer and that cost him his ship
to which I say good riddance
Only his commanding officer decides who needs to know
