Trump's life, and success, is due to answering to no one and doing what he wants, when he wants, etc. And in the rough and tumble world of business and commerce that's an enviable position to have achieved, and one not even the presidency can duplicate. Outside of a big upgrade in personal aircraft, Trump would chafe at the pace of presidential management even with the boot in the ass he'd give it.

He's just toying with folks again, which in turn feeds his ego through increased media attention, and when he's had enough he'll let 'em know. Until next time when they all fall for it again.
