I mean, geez .. we can track a pizza in real time, but somehow counting votes remains our greatest technological challenge.

Agreed. Today's tech can tell you where the cow was born that produced the steak that you ate last night but they can't tally votes. LOL, prior to all of this tech, we would know who the winner was before bed in most cases--by the time we had breakfast the next morning at the latest.

The issue is that you can't count the ballot if you don't have the ballots in hand. California's mail-in system should be outlawed at the federal level.

I'll bet that if a policy like that was put in place they wouldn't have problems counting their votes and the count would be in. I mean, WTF, we used to have election DAY -- now we have an election MONTH(S).
