In a domestic case involving an underage child, a court would usually appoint a guardian ad litem in order to make an objective recommendation about the child's welfare. I wonder why we do not do this, or something similar, when it comes to abortion.The problem is the other human life involved, which makes abortion unique amongst the arguments over government power.
