the force is coming from the courts.....this force will have an effect upon society....so don't say people are not being forced to live with this new law....this matter is so basic to society that people should have the right to vote on it instead of being forced by the narrow decisions of the courts...

The tyranny of the majority does not get to deny individual rights. A majority cannot vote to take away your individual right to own a gun. Equally so a majority cannot vote to deny gays the same individual rights as everyone else when it comes to marrying the consenting adult of their choice.

Seeking to deny gay Americans their civil liberties is the aberration; the tyranny of the state forcing its un-Constitutional will upon same-sex couples in violation of the Founding Document, where the courts are correctly and appropriately invalidating the wrong committed by the states.

In fact, the courts wouldn’t even be involved if the states hadn’t sought to deny gay Americans their civil liberties – and the states have only themselves to blame when their un-Constitutional measures are struck down by the courts.

If you and others on the right don’t want the courts involved in such matters, then stop seeking to deny gay Americans their civil liberties.
