A while back I started a thread asking the question, "when do the resignations begin?"

Only if the next president is a Republican. Today's Democrats are only loyal to their Marxist, racist, and foreign agenda. I foresee lots of tears in your future as your silly agenda is rejected again and again.
As I have pointed out a number of times on other threads, the majority favors a wide variety of positions taken by Dem's, not Repubs.

Good thing you loons can't sell that fantasy outside your echo chamber.
Quite a bit has been made by the board's conservatives about the Dem party's dismal polling numbers of late. They are frequently cited in response to it being pointed out trump's approval rating has sunken to new lows.
Why do I refer to this phenomenon as creating cognitive dissonance? Here's why.

Weird, right? The Dem party is not popular but the policy positions it stands for are.
So I'm going to posit a theory to explain it. Basically, it comes down to this.
Democrats are fuming about their party leadership’s early response to President Trump.

Strategists say the reaction to Trump is inconsistent and not aggressive enough to combat Trump, who has taken a series of actions to remake the government.

More specifically, I think one aspect of the poor polling Dem's get is out of frustration with the party's inability to get legislation passed that the majority favors. Roe was just repealed, gun control legislation has repeatedly been blocked by Repubs, trump is in the process of reversing Biden's laudable efforts with respect to climate change, Medicaid funding has been slashed.

It's hard to be enthusiastic about an ineffectual party that can't deliver on what the majority wants.

Too bad the people don't agree with you on the most important matters, the economy, immigration, and others. You loons are losing across the board on those. It isn't a Trump problem, it's the whole putting illegals before citizens, and offering nothing on the economy problem. Enjoy your tears in 2026 and 2028. You have no leadership and even fewer plausible ideas.

They do agree with Dem's positions.

I looked for it but couldn't find it.
I found it right here. Took me 10 seconds.

Not exactly the kind of en masse resignations that would normally occur during a completely lawless regime like this one.

Federal prosecutor tasked with investigating Trump adversary Letitia James resigns under pressure

The federal prosecutor in charge of pursuing mortgage fraud allegations against New York Attorney General Letitia James resigned Friday after President Donald Trump said he no longer wanted him to serve in the position.

Erik S. Siebert, the acting U.S. attorney in the Eastern District of Virginia, announced he was stepping down in an email to colleagues that was obtained by NBC News.

"This evening, I submitted my resignation as Interim US Attorney for EDVA. For the last eight months, I have had the pleasure of leading the finest and most exceptional of DOJ employees, who care deeply about our nation and our EDVA community," he wrote, referring to the Eastern District of Virginia.

Trump on Friday unleashed an attack on Siebert, who was tasked with pursuing mortgage fraud charges against James, a longtime Trump foe.

“I want him out,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office when asked if he wanted Siebert to be fired.

The resignation was preemptive, anticipating being fired for a failure to charge Letisha James with a crime she did not commit.
......................................................................................................................................
When asked if he would fire Mr. Siebert, Mr. Trump responded, “Yeah, I want him out.”

Ms. James, he told reporters, was “very guilty of something.”

Mr. Trump later disputed that Mr. Siebert had resigned, saying in a late-night social media post, “He didn’t quit, I fired him!”

Mr. Trump’s comments came after a high-stakes internal debate raged on Friday over the fate of Mr. Siebert — with Mr. Trump’s own appointees at the Justice Department and key Republicans on Capitol Hill arguing to retain the veteran prosecutor.

The episode was consistent with Mr. Trump’s threats to pursue the law enforcement officials who investigated him, an apparent challenge to the fundamental principle enshrined in the Justice Department’s rulebook of investigating crimes rather than targeting out-of-favor individuals to uncover potential wrongdoing.

Two of the people who defended Seibert were reportedly the blonde sock puppet known as Pam and her #2. The man who was dispatched to FL to negotiate Ghislaine Maxwell's move to a country club "prison" in return for flattering comments about the 26 times accused sexual molester he works for.

Will there be more resignations as there were in response to Emil Bove's corruption?

Why the resignation of 7 DOJ lawyers in the Eric Adams case matters

We shall see.
Maybe the refusal by Seibert to bring charges against James isn't the only reason he was forced to resign. MSNBC is reporting Jim Comey may be indicted within the next few days. Seibert was against his indictment for the same reason he would not bring charges against James. Lack of evidence.

I found it right here. Took me 10 seconds.

I also found it here. Took me another 30 seconds.

ABC is reporting a memo was prepared for Lindsey Halligan, Seibert's successor, telling her there is no probable cause to charge Comey.

Lindsey needs to get busy cuz the statute of limitations for what she will reportedly charge Comey with runs out this Tuesday.

Halligan’s much greater challenge comes now, according to three sources briefed on events in her office. Prosecutors in the Eastern District were confiding to each other late Thursday night that Trump’s new appointee will have a difficult time finding even one assistant U.S. attorney in her office to help her take Comey to trial, according to two people familiar with internal discussions.

Inside the Alexandria-based prosecutors’ office, lawyers braced for more resignations as peers warned one another they will refuse to be part of prosecuting a case solely because the president demanded they go after his perceived enemy. On Thursday night, Comey’s son-in-law, Troy Edwards Jr., resigned as the office’s senior national security prosecutor, which his colleagues considered to be the first of many walking out the door.

Dotard's vindictiveness is spinning out of control.

If there are US Attorneys unwilling to do the job they are tasked with that would be grounds for removal. Good riddance to them. You loons seem to have no problem with lawless insubordination. Pathetic.

Trump’s Retribution Campaign Leaves D.C. Prosecutor’s Office in Crisis

Federal prosecutors’ offices in New York, California and Virginia — to name just a few — have felt the effects of Mr. Trump’s desire to root out those he believes have been disloyal and to wield the criminal justice system against his enemies. But nowhere, perhaps, has the impact been as palpable as the U.S. attorney’s office in Washington, which is deeply enmeshed in the workings of the government and has long attracted Mr. Trump’s vengeance for having filed criminal cases against him and his allies.

Mr. Trump and Ms. Pirro have both made protecting public safety a priority; a mission that has been hindered by the loss of talent.

The office is in crisis, distrustful of its leadership and demoralized by waves of dismissals, demotions and resignations that have slashed its head count by as much as a third since Mr. Trump returned to the White House, according to more than a dozen current and former employees, most of whom spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe sensitive issues.

Just last week, two prosecutors were placed on leave hours after seeking a stiff sentence for a pro-Trump rioter who was pardoned for his role in the events of Jan. 6, 2021, and who later showed up armed near the house of former President Barack Obama. In a bizarre move, Mr. Hornok personally filed new sentencing papers scrubbed of any mention of Jan. 6 or Mr. Trump.

trumples will say members of the DoJ who investigated trump deserve to be fired. Sending a message crimes committed by those in the regime are not to be scrutinized.

Top DOJ officials quit after their division refused to probe Minnesota ICE shooting

At least six leaders of a Justice Department unit that investigates police killings have resigned in protest over the administration’s handling of the fatal shooting of a motorist in Minneapolis by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer, according to three people briefed on the departures.

Top leaders of the criminal section of the Civil Rights Division have left their jobs to register their frustration with the department after the Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon decided not to investigate the ICE officer’s fatal shooting of Renee Good last week. The criminal section of the division would normally investigate any fatal shooting by a law enforcement officer and specializes in probing potential or alleged abuse or improper use of force by law enforcement.

The departures – including that of the chief of the section, as well as the principal deputy chief, deputy chief and acting deputy chief – represent the most significant mass resignation at the Justice Department since February. At that time, five leaders and supervisors of the department’s Public Integrity Section, which investigates public officials for possible corruption, resigned rather than comply with an appointee of President Donald Trump’s orders to dismiss the bribery case against then-New York mayor Eric Adams.

Between resignations, firings, and hacks being hired the DoJ has been gutted.
